Shig. How should one speak appropriately, like saying, "Then it is satisfied"? When identifying demonic obstacles, for those who practice this Vajra Yoga with single-pointed concentration, initially when the mind becomes dull, in the middle when the visualization is clear and signs and appearances increase, and finally when experience and realization increase, if obstacles arise in this meditation, even though it may seem like accomplishing other great virtues, it is only a demonic obstacle. If it is a worldly matter that is unpredicted and unwholesome, then what need is there to mention it? Why is that? Because even if one raises disciples who fill the entire kingdom with great people, and teaches the Dharma to hundreds of thousands of monks, if someone who is certain to walk the path as described in the tantras appears, then even gathering the Vajra Yoga individually and meditating for one session is a quicker way to cut through the path because of the three accumulations. Generally, all obstacles to virtue are demons. All encouragement to virtue is the power of the Buddha, it can also be said. However, if one abandons small inner virtues and immediately engages in great virtues, then merely preventing the small virtues is not a demon. If one turns from the definitive meaning and engages in the provisional meaning, etc., preventing great virtues and engaging in small virtues, then even if there is a deviation towards small virtues, it is only a virtue, but it should be recognized as the work of a demon. Therefore, the demons who obstruct the Dharma of oneself and others can transform into the form of a fully enlightened Buddha, the form of a Bodhisattva, father, mother, daughter, sister, son, brother, and objects of desire and attachment, such as wives, etc., transforming into various uncertain forms, thereby hindering the practice of the correct path. It is also possible for them to actually manifest, but mostly it is through the power blessed by demons. Therefore, students should cherish this precious good path given by the noble lama, like robbers disguised as close relatives, and recognize their own home, relatives, afflictions, distractions, bad teachers, sinful deeds, and all the works of demons, and completely abandon them, striving diligently through the gate of mindfulness and awareness, making the wisdom of meditation experience extremely...

Should be properly concealed and protected. Thus it is said. Regarding the aspects of samaya and vows, in terms of the terminology of tantra itself, samaya and vows are considered to be the same in meaning but different in name, with samaya being the discipline of rejecting what should be abandoned, and vows being the discipline of practicing what should be adopted. Although there are cases where these two are reversed, there is no contradiction in meaning even if the names are different. In the Sutra tradition, although the term samaya is not used for discipline, the meaning of samaya is that it should not be transgressed. Therefore, discipline possesses the meaning of samaya. Here, the fourteen root downfalls are: If a root downfall occurs due to deceit, one will go to hell, these are suffering! 4-337 Etc., as clearly stated in the tantric texts. The first root downfall is displeasing the Vajra Master. In special cases, if one is not pleased with one's own virtuous deeds, it will not become a root downfall. There is the fault of displeasing the master, but the virtuous deed itself also has benefits, so it is not a mixture of black and white. There are also special cases where it becomes a root downfall, such as when one is prohibited from engaging in great virtuous deeds, but engages in inferior and small virtuous deeds, and if one is displeased by this, it is a root downfall. The second is transgressing the words of the guru, which means disobeying the guru's words that are not related to sin. Among them, disobeying prophecies is a lighter type of root downfall, and disobeying virtuous words is very serious. Disobeying non-virtuous words is not a root downfall. If displeasure is not eliminated through expiation, there is only the fault of transgressing the command. These two are downfalls that depend on the Vajra Master, so they are serious sins and difficult to purify. The third is: the same guru who relies on the Dharma of Secret Mantra is the Vajra brother, and accumulating sins against him is because it is internal strife. This is also a serious sin and difficult to purify. The fourth is: although it is said to abandon love, it is actually abandoning loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment. If one abandons love completely, even abandoning love for one sentient being will become a root downfall. According to the explanations of other root downfall treatises, both the fifth and fourth are included in the fourth of this treatise. Here, the fifth is
