The meaning of "Joy" is: the joy of the descending stage, the bliss where the clinging to external objects and conceptual thoughts have not ceased; the Supreme Joy stage, where the gross grasping and conceptual thoughts dissolve; the Special Joy stage, where grasping and conceptual thoughts also dissolve; the Coemergent stage, where great bliss itself can clearly represent the wisdom of awareness. The Joy stage of the lower stability: its essence is the twelve Samadhi grounds, so the differences between it and its qualities are very large. However, the nature of the four joys' stages is unchanging, the self-awareness of the great bliss's meaning wisdom is: the Coemergent stage and the stable bliss of non-discrimination, the union of emptiness and form is the Special Joy; its union with the indestructible speech is the Supreme Joy stage; the wisdom related to the ability to emanate various forms for the benefit of others is the Joy stage. This is the order of the four bodies, applied in reverse from the Coemergent to the Joy stage. Alternatively, for the lower stability, it can also be counted from the first Joy stage, which is the same as mentioned above, the gross grasping conceptual thoughts cease, everything ceases, the grasping conceptual thoughts cease, the Coemergent ultimate self-awareness is completely perfected, etc., are sequentially matched. At this time, the first two Samadhi grounds are the Joy stage, then four each, that is, eight are the Supreme Joy and Special Joy, and the latter two are matched to the Coemergent stage. In addition, the method of dividing the four joys mentioned here into six chakras as boundaries is the method of matching the sixteen phases of the moon to be discussed below. This and dividing the four joys into sixteen by dividing them into body, speech, mind, and wisdom are different classifications, so they must be distinguished. At this time, although it is clearly stated that the way to match the four joys to the six chakras is with momentary differences, the other is also mentioned in passing. If the moment and the ground of the four joys are not distinguished, it will not be possible to distinguish the meaning of many tantric words. Moreover, some Indians and many Tibetan scholars only have various uncertain statements, so it is necessary to determine this position.
