As it had happened before, I was planning to stay for a few days, and was just about to leave, when I received an invitation to come and preside over the funeral rites of Zhabdrung Drogkhapa of North Staglung, and my nephew Gyatso Kyidrol came to greet me. Before that, I had only stayed one night and left. On the day of arrival, for auspiciousness, I performed the three mandalas of empowerment, as well as the teachings of longevity, horse life, etc., for the dignitaries, and for most of the monks gathered at Tsetang, I performed the Medicine Buddha's subsequent permission, etc., and also gave longevity empowerments to the roughly gathered attendants, and many people requested teachings, and many people requested blessings, and the tea offering and the feast wheel became grand. I invited the Thubpa Serlingma and offered grand offerings and prayers. The next day, for the countless Sangha and lay people who had gathered, I performed the transmission of Mani and the respective empowerments, oral transmissions, subsequent permissions, etc., and then again on the top of Ne Dome, I offered the remaining Dharma, and according to the rules of the Great Assembly Monastery, I performed the second Hevajra oral transmission empowerment for the Sakya people. Then on the eighteenth, a very large group of escorts escorted me to Lingkha. That night, I also stayed in the garden of Namgyal Ling, talking about the Dharma that each person wanted. There were very many newly ordained people. The next day, I went to Melong Monastery, which calls itself the Melong Throne Holder. I performed longevity empowerments and other miscellaneous Dharma teachings, and for all the monks, I performed a Dharma connection of Guru Yoga in the assembly hall. On the plains of Dratang, I also met with Lama Chen Rinpoche, and because many people had gathered, I gave a Dharma connection. That night I arrived at Lhundrub Lhatse. For Chöje Kedrongpa, I gave the transmission of the three rounds of the pig mother and the six Dharmas of the pig mother of the Pelu tradition, and also gave miscellaneous Dharma teachings. Starting from the Dolma pier, I went straight south and met with the official of Ponsa, and stayed for a while in the Langtang chamber. In Lhundrub Dzong, I also met with the Zibon Dar of Staglung, and also asked for some teachings. The next day I arrived at Staglung Tang and stayed in the sleeping quarters.

For the sake of the great place, specifically mentioning its name, I went to visit the feet of Kunga Tashi Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo. Prior to that, due to a cold that caused coughing, it developed into a form of pneumonia, and he felt tired. Later, through performing rituals and other practices, his physical condition gradually improved. Even at that time, he was in retreat, so I tried to visit him briefly each day. In the valley, for his health, about twenty people performed the Heruka Chakrasamvara sadhana and offering. At the feet of the venerable and holy Lama, for his health, we performed the long-life empowerment, the hundred offerings of Drubgyal Ma, the hundred offerings of the Nine Deities, and the ransom ritual. On the sixteenth day, the actual completion of the passing away ceremony took place. At this time, at the Dharma Throne Square, all the members of Taglung Monastery's mother and branch monasteries gathered together, and the Sangha of Nyangpo and Rinchen Drak, etc., gathered a total of about two thousand people. I sat on the red Dharma Throne and related to the thirteen rules and regulations of Taglung Monastery itself. The offerings for the completion of the passing away ceremony were immeasurable. For his consciousness to merge into the Dharmadhatu, grand offerings and prayers were made. From the crown of the head master, according to his wishes, I received the Vajrakumara empowerment and Achala Yoga Anuttara, etc. I also received many Dharma teachings, such as the Five Deity empowerment. At this time, I also clearly knew the signs of the patron Tashi Tobgyal's unstable health, and I did not hide it from my companions, but told them. Afterwards, I went to Namgyal Rabten again, because Rinpoche's body was slightly unwell, so I went to his residence. His body looked very tired, so that day I offered him the long-life prayer, and as a result, his body immediately showed signs of health. The Sangha who held pure vows also performed extensive rituals such as tsok, prayers, and long-life mantras. Every day, I offered the long-life auspicious empowerment and subsequent permission. At this time, although I did not completely retreat, I also practiced for a few days in the manner of supplementing recitations. Afterwards, according to the Lama's instructions, for his health, I recited the mantra of the Sixty Torma Reversal Ritual without interruption, and completed it to the best of my ability.
