I slept next to him. At that time, there was a very large statue of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni on the altar. I repeatedly asked about it, and they told me some stories about the Twelve Deeds and so on. Although I didn't remember all the details of the stories, I developed great faith and a genuine desire to attain Buddhahood. In the thangka of the Red Wrathful One, there was a Hevajra (Tibetan: ཀྱཻ་རྡོར།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हेvaj्र, Sanskrit Romanization: Hevajra, Chinese literal meaning: Heyvajra). Just seeing these two deities always made my heart feel very happy. I had little interest in other sights, but I always felt a great joy and desire to repeatedly look at the mantra forms of the yidam and protectors. I remember my grandfather saying that this might be the reincarnation of a Vajra Master. Also, sometimes when I saw someone who looked like a hunter, I felt great compassion and tears would involuntarily flow, and I would think that I must protect the animals in this valley. Even if I protect the animals here, there are other valleys and animals on the other side. And there are also animals on the other side of that, and so on. These thoughts arose endlessly, and I felt that even if I protected the animals in one place, what about the others? This feeling of helplessness would arise. Also, once I saw some hermits begging at the door. Later, they seemed to be meditating with physical postures in my father's field, which made me feel very surprised and admiring. I often thought, how wonderful it would be if I could become like that. I also saw some realized beings from Montsewa practicing breath control and Tsa Lung exercises, and I wanted to become like them too. Now it seems that what they were doing was the essence of all religious forms, and my thinking has changed. When the monks constructed the Kunrig mandala and performed the practice and offering, I also felt very happy and managed to find a seat in the ceremony. Once, Kharag (Kam[Gam]pupa's) mantra practitioner Chöje Yön Gyamba seemed to be handling affairs in front of my grandfather Rinpoche. They seemed to be discussing many things about miraculous powers, and I thought to myself that I should do many things like that too. Also, once when I was on the roof, the jholmo birds were making a lot of noise.
