He was proficient in medicine and various subtle interdependencies. By practicing Vajrabhairava Vajrapani and the Black Phallus, signs also appeared. He subjugated the local deities of the past and present as servants. Because he possessed wisdom, compassion, and power, he greatly benefited sentient beings. Thanks to his kindness, my father also manifested some abilities such as hail, and these genuine traces still exist today. Thus, the origin of my lineage is said to be from the lineage of Ra Lotsawa. If measured from the perspective of Dharma, our ancestors were great translators, Dharma masters, and powerful practitioners. In terms of worldly wealth, it is said that Ra Lotsawa was comparable to the Dharma King Tri Relpachen. Thereafter, the activities of Ra Lotsawa Bum Seng and Sher Gyal, among others, were immeasurable. For example, the great Lama Phagpa regarded Dongton and Rongpa Ga Lotsawa as the direct disciples of Ra and revered them as teachers. This shows that almost all the good lamas in Tibet were under the Dharma lineage of Ra. The ancestors later did not gather strong armies and flaunt wealth like tribes, but they each clearly knew that they should support monks and patrons, and they certainly had the ability to pray to the yidam and Dharma protectors. Therefore, our ancestors, including my father, all the householder mantra practitioners, prostrated to bhikshus, served the Three Jewels, and never harmed sentient beings for the sake of food and wealth. Before the age of ten, they studied reading and writing, before the age of twenty, they recited scriptures, before the age of thirty, they cut off exaggerations, and before the age of forty, they said they were reciting, meditating, and practicing. Thereafter, householders engaged in worldly affairs such as marriage. The Brahmins of the past and the early mantra practitioners of Tibet mostly maintained good examples of practice. Nowadays or later reincarnated lamas, monastery mantra practitioners, a large group of great and small lamas, do not hesitate to kill, arbitrarily dispose of the property of the body, speech, and mind of the Three Jewels, steal property from ignorant actions, marry and have children early, and still think they are right. Such new-style mantra Khenpos, who are prevalent, are truly unqualified. There is no lineage.

The 'e ra' is in the east. The chos rwa is in the west. There is no need to rely on marriage preparations, false pretenses, and means, but rather a true mantra practitioner has emerged who is consistent in word and deed. Now I will tell my situation. The place where I took birth is: located at the border of U-Tsang, belonging to one of the twelve Brtan ma who protect Tibet, the place of Kha-rag Khyun-btsun, known as Jomo Kha-rag. Near the sacred place relied upon by the great teacher Padmasambhava, the great scholar Gayadhara, the Gnyos father and son translators, as well as Acharya Gnyan Pal-dbyangs, Kha-rag Gom-chung, and many other holy beings. Belonging to the central region of Tibet. Close to the banks of the Luhita River. The town called 'brang, adorned with a pleasing urban layout. Everywhere are gardens surrounded by fruit trees. There are many pleasant medicine mountains, as well as a variety of vegetable gardens. A place where Gnyos Jo-sras Dorje Lama and others resided for a long time in the past, later Dharma King Kunga Sengge established a small monastery there called Chos-'khor-sdings. The year before I was to be born, at dawn, many people saw a real giant skeleton. Although this may have been accidental, in a place called Trashi Drag, a large stone cracked and fell, and a huge self-arisen Mani stone appeared, which is still on the rock wall. There was a holy mantra holder named Tsultrim Tsan-chen, who had four sons. The eldest, named Namgyal Phuntsok, is my father. And for the nurturing of my body in this life, the most kind is my mother, named Dorje Bu-ga. My father, although not very knowledgeable, had some stability in the visualization of the generation stage of the Yidam deity. He recited countless mantras of Yidams and Dharma protectors. Filled with blessings and power. He resided in the great liberation that eliminated the conceptualizations of the eight worldly dharmas. My mother also had a kind heart, was enthusiastic about virtuous deeds, and had a deep and broad character. At that time, my father was forty-six years old.
