After staying for a while, the great winter teaching was established in Jonang. The practices were completed as before. The explanation of the sadhana of the glorious Kalachakra was extensively given to rJe Ye-shes rGya-mtsho and Ka-zhi sprul pa'i sku. The teaching year went well this time as well. From dbUs gYer-ba, offerings were made for the late lcags zam chos rje rJe drung 'ber bag. At dam po'i sgang, mkhan chen blo gros rgyal mtshan pa and his disciples from dbUs, and sMon-thang mkhan chen chos rje and his disciples from mNga'-ris Glo-bo also came for the teaching and the offering cake (gtor ma). The mkhan chen of brag dmar chos sde also came. In both the upper and lower parts, the tea offerings and honors for the Sangha were excellent, and especially the tea offerings for the Sangha from mNga'-ris were very plentiful. From sPa-mnam sKyid-phug, the mNga'-bdag sku skye also arrived at that time. In the twelfth month, the six yogas were completed. On the second day of the first month of the Rabbit year, they moved to rtag brtan. After the Monlam was completed, some Dharma teachings were also established. In particular, the complete Shangpa teachings were given to tshong chen, as well as the last five chapters of the Essence Sutra and most of the ten Definitive Meaning Sutras. Chos rje [bla brang 'gag pa] Byams pa kun dga' and his disciples also came here first as a way to apply for monastic estates to the sde srid. The end of that Sangha Dharma was completed. The mandala ritual of the glorious Kalachakra was completely explained to about twenty lamas, teachers, and geshes. After that, the sections on the Immortal Body, which is known as the Immortal Accomplishment, were explained in detail to Chos rje 'gag pa. It was done very carefully in his own way. But how did it really turn out? He had the famous Dingpon of dBon po dGe-'dun dpal-bzang, which he offered to the sde pa, and as a result, he also got some land. From the spring of the Tiger year, a golden statue of Yum chen mo shes rab kyi pha rol tu phyin pa with four arms, which was definitely taller than a human, was commissioned. It was originally planned to be completed that year, but it was delayed because the craftsmen had to go to dar sdings. When it was completed this time, the consecration and grand celebrations were all done as before. The Great Commentary Lamp Illuminating (the Great Commentary Vimalaprabha) by rJe Ye-shes rGya-mtsho ba was also completed. Many lamas and others from all directions gathered.

In Takten (ྟག་བརྟན་), there was a joyous feast where all the profound sacred objects, except for the Protector Brother and Sister (མགོན་པོ་ལྕམ་དྲལ་), were distributed. At this time, some of the deity images had silk brocade shawls, and through fault-finding loopholes, some people said, "The silk shawls are smooth and pleasing to oneself." Some said that only smoothness is good. To this I said, "We do know that smooth shawls are good, don't we? Although we are not scholars, we still have that much experience. We ourselves don't just make things with whatever we have on hand. How can we, as poor people, make the choices that wealthy people do? We use rough cloth and silk for the upper, higher parts, and make the parts touched by human hands a little better. We have never made anything that is distributed or torn at the neck. Later, there were fewer temple masters who made such things. There might be a few, but worldly people say that they are not monks but worldly people, so that's the meaning. Some lamas who are particularly fond of showing off are truly astonishing. I don't know if there are many people who make such things. If there are, they will be like this. They hoard all the valuable things, thinking, 'I want this too, I want that too,' and then build seven-story buildings to store them. They don't care whether the wealth is useful to monks or whether it can be held; they just want everything they can get. Some lamas say they are accumulating wealth for the next life and offer it to ghosts and spirits. After some die, the patrons take it back. Some of the inheritance is taken by relatives. Some is enjoyed by close attendants. In any case, they hide the remaining wealth, medium and below, without giving it to others unless absolutely necessary. When they are alive, they mostly give it to people with status. Some give it as a reward for killing people, some as a reward for plundering property, some as a reward for seizing land, and some as a reward for instigating war. They say that doing such great evils is for the benefit of the Dharma. They say they are upholding the Buddha's teachings. They say there is no fault, only benefit. Alas, is it really necessary to uphold the teachings with evil? Such a Buddha might as well become a Buddha himself and destroy himself.
