The contradiction with Ralungpa, based on favoritism, is clear to everyone. I have never met Ralungpa. Later, they might consider me an enemy, but there is no other reason. The thought that I performed rituals and protective circles for the Desi himself is the reason. That is better than him extending a decree to me. Also, this kind of monk becoming an enemy is completely different from the friends and enemies of ordinary people, so it is necessary to grasp a prudent boundary that does not harm oneself. That is like the example of the Drakchu Gompa monks' gathering. Previously, there was no contradiction between Ralungpa and the former Desi, but they stirred up trouble from both sides. I have never said a single word that was detrimental to Ralungpa. Those original sinful officials, even though they themselves were stirring up trouble, they pretended to be good to others in Ralung and other places, or they put the blame for the trouble on me. This kind of thing is possible. Does this Desi also have such a deep-rooted prejudice? At that time, they were saying things like that. In addition, at this time, they received Gongkar and other places, and intended to go to U-Tsang in the winter to visit the Jowo in Lhasa and to visit the monasteries. They were going to go after divination to see if it was allowed or not. The result of the divination was that it was allowed to go, and it was certain that auspicious things such as removing obstacles would appear. When I reported the result, it seemed like they stayed for a few days. The four monastic divisions and others were also specially called, and they were summoned from Takten to recite scriptures. After that, when I came back, I felt much calmer. I thought that they probably wouldn't go. I didn't get permission to leave immediately. After that, because of the affairs of Thubten in Gyangtse, and because they blamed the diviner and astrologer of Lhorong, I received a document ordering me to cancel the plan to go to U-Tsang. If they could have gone that year, they could have removed obstacles and there would have been many auspicious signs, but in the end it did not happen. There were many discussions about the cancellation of the trip to U-Tsang, but it seems that the decision of the Kagyu school, the small matters of the Dragon year (1964) and the Snake year (1965) caused a big impact. After that, I set out and arrived at Takten. Stayed for a few days.
