According to the order of the four Kayas (bodies), they are: Svabhavikakaya (Tibetan: ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་སྐུ་, Essence Body), Sambhogakaya (Tibetan: ལོངས་སྐུ་, Enjoyment Body), Nirmanakaya (Tibetan: སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་, Emanation Body), and Dharmakaya (Tibetan: ཆོས་སྐུའོ།, Dharma Body). As stated in the 'Ornament of Clear Realization': 'Essence, complete with enjoyment, likewise other emanations, with the activities of the Dharma Body, are explained as four aspects in reality.' Among them, Svabhavikakaya refers to: the essence not produced by causes and conditions, its establishment not relying on others, its form not changing, the naturally pure Dharmadhatu, free from all defilements to be abandoned, hence it is called Svabhavikakaya. Its classification will not be elaborated here. Secondly, the Dharmakaya has five aspects: nature, abandonment, the object of experience, activities and functions, and the difference in the cause of arising. First is nature, referring from the four mindfulnesses to all uncontaminated Dharmas of omniscience. What it represents is the name of the Dharmakaya. The definition is: all white Dharmas are completely perfect, matured to the extreme. The white Dharmas mentioned here refer to pure Dharmas. 'All' refers to all kinds. 'Matured to the extreme' refers to the ultimate attainment of abandonment and realization. Second is the difference of abandonment: abandoning all afflictive and cognitive obscurations, along with their habitual tendencies. As stated in the 'Three Kayas Sutra': 'Son of lineage, the primordially pure Alaya-vijnana is like a mirror-like wisdom, it is the Dharmakaya.' Third is the object of experience: referring to other wisdoms, the realm that only Buddhas can experience. As stated in the 'Three Kayas Sutra': 'The Dharmakaya is the essence of the Tathagata to be observed.' Fourth is the activities and functions: guiding sentient beings to abide in the basis of the path, abide in the path, and abide in the result. Truly benefiting those who have been tamed, and indirectly benefiting those who have not been tamed. As stated in the 'Ornament of Clear Realization': 'Thus, as long as samsara exists, activities are constantly uninterrupted, guiding beings to peaceful actions, and the four means of gathering, the functions of the Dharmakaya, are considered to be twenty-seven in total.' Fifth is the difference in the cause of arising: the proximate cause arises from the accumulation of wisdom, and the cooperative condition arises from the accumulation of merit. As stated in the 'Garland of Precious Gems': 'The Dharmakaya, in short, the king (referring to the Buddha) is born from the accumulation of wisdom.' Third is the Sambhogakaya, which has six aspects: nature, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I, the signifying sound, The difference of meaning, the difference of abandonment, the realm of whatever is to be tamed, the difference of activity and benefit, and the difference of the generating cause. First, the basis for the example is: What is it that becomes the basis for omniscience (sarvākārajñatā)? What is signified is: Adorned with major and minor marks, it is signified by the name of the enjoyment body (saṃbhogakāya) that possesses the nature of five certainties. Its essence is: Born from the power of the wisdom of union or individual realization. As it is said in the Ornament of Clear Realization (Abhisamayālaṃkāra): 'This possessor of thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks is considered the Enjoyment Body of the Sage.' The meaning of the sound is: What is meant by 'Enjoyment Body'? Because it enjoys the Dharma of the Great Vehicle and makes it joyful and satisfied. Third, the difference of abandonment is: Separated from all that has become an obscuration. As it is said in the Sūtra of the Three Bodies: 'The purification of the mind-basis of afflictions is equality wisdom (samatājñāna). The purification of the consciousness is discriminating wisdom (pratyavekṣaṇājñāna), which is the Enjoyment Body.' Fourth, the object to be tamed is: In general, it becomes the realm of both self and others, and in particular, it becomes the realm of the bodhisattvas of the ten bhūmis. As it is said in the Sūtra of the Three Bodies: 'That Enjoyment Body, where should the nature of the bodhisattva be looked at?' Fifth, the benefit is: Directly benefiting the bodhisattvas of the ten bhūmis, and indirectly benefiting those who are not pure. Sixth, the difference of the cause is: It arises from the proximate cause of merit and arises from the co-emergent condition of the accumulation of wisdom. As it is said in the Precious Garland of the Middle Way (Ratnāvalī): 'The form body of the Buddhas arises from the accumulation of merit.' Fourth, the Emanation Body (nirmāṇakāya) has five differences: the difference of nature, the difference of abandonment, the realm of whatever is to be tamed, the difference of activity and benefit, and the difference of the generating cause. First, it arises from the sovereign cause of the wisdom of accomplishing activities (kṛtyānuṣṭhānajñāna), adorned with major and minor marks, becoming enlightened in the manner of the twelve deeds. As it is said in the Treatise on the Sublime Continuum (Uttaratantra): 'Without moving from the Dharma Body, the nature of the Emanation Body, with various births, manifestly born, descending from the Tuṣita heaven, entering the womb and being born, causing sentient beings to be weary of the three realms.' It is said from 'manifesting entering into extinction' in between. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
