English version Beginningless greed, hatred, and delusion, Arising from body, speech, and mind, I now repent of all. All sentient beings in the ten directions, Including those in the Two Vehicles (Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas) who are still learning and those who have completed their learning, And all Tathagatas (如来, thus-gone ones) and Bodhisattvas (菩萨, beings striving for enlightenment), I rejoice in all their merits. All the lights of the world in the ten directions, Those who initially attained Bodhi (菩提, enlightenment), I now earnestly request them all, To turn the unsurpassed, wondrous Dharma wheel (法轮, wheel of Dharma). If the Buddhas wish to demonstrate Nirvana (涅槃, cessation of suffering), I sincerely entreat them, May they abide for as many kalpas (劫, eons) as there are dust particles in countless lands, To benefit and bring joy to all sentient beings. All the merit from prostrations, praises, and offerings, The merit from the Buddhas abiding in the world and turning the Dharma wheel, The roots of goodness from rejoicing and repentance, I dedicate them all to sentient beings and the path to Buddhahood. When the great hero (the Buddha) was born, All auspicious and magnificent events were accomplished, May all accomplishments be accomplished, May auspiciousness always be peaceful and secure. The immeasurable great Dharma wisdom, Plays in the pure Dharmadhatu (法界, realm of Dharma), Ultimately understanding all knowable Dharmas, I praise and pay homage to the Buddha who plays with supernatural powers. Attaining subtle and wondrous supernatural powers, The Dharmakaya (法身, Dharma body) covers and protects all sentient beings, Superior wisdom plays and transforms sentient beings, Offering to the subtle Svabhavakaya (自性身, self-nature body). Born from the nature of conditions, All the celestial and wondrous Argha water (阏伽水, water for offering), I offer to the Buddha who plays with supernatural powers, For the benefit of the (holy) donor, may you accept it. Born from the nature of conditions, All kinds of celestial and wondrous flowers, I offer to the Buddha who plays with supernatural powers, For the benefit of the (holy) donor, may you accept it. Born from the nature of conditions, All kinds of celestial and wondrous incense, I offer to the Buddha who plays with supernatural powers, For the benefit of the (holy) donor, may you accept it. Born from the nature of conditions, All kinds of celestial and wondrous lamps, I offer to the Buddha who plays with supernatural powers, For the benefit of the (holy) donor, may you accept it. Born from the nature of conditions, All kinds of celestial and wondrous water, I offer to the Buddha who plays with supernatural powers, For the benefit of the (holy) donor, may you accept it. All kinds of wonderful medicines, to remove all suffering from illness, I offer to the Buddha with playful supernatural powers, for the benefit of the Lord (Holy Bestowal), may you accept. Like this, all kinds of offerings, and all the offerings of the world, I offer to the Buddha with playful supernatural powers, for the benefit of the Lord (Holy Bestowal), may you accept. All the evil deeds I have committed in the past, are all due to beginningless greed, anger, and ignorance, Arising from body, speech, and mind, I now repent of all of them. All sentient beings in the ten directions, the two vehicles (Śrāvakayāna and Pratyekabuddhayāna) with learning and without learning, All Tathagatas and Bodhisattvas, I rejoice in all their merits. All the lights of the world in the ten directions, those who first attained Bodhi (enlightenment), Today, I urge all of them to turn the unsurpassed wonderful Dharma wheel (teachings). If the Buddhas wish to show Nirvana (cessation), I sincerely urge them, May they abide for as many kalpas as dust motes, benefiting and bringing joy to all sentient beings. All the blessings of prostration, praise, and offerings, the Buddhas abiding in the world and turning the Dharma wheel, The roots of goodness from rejoicing and repentance, I dedicate to sentient beings and the path of Buddhahood. When you were first born, the mountains and forests all trembled, All sentient beings rejoiced, may auspiciousness always be peaceful and secure. The supreme one of medicine who can remove the suffering of illness, whose body is like a Vaidūrya (lapis lazuli) gem, clear and radiant, Whose light illuminates and touches, bringing liberation, Medicine King Tathagata, I praise and salute. Like the sunlight removing darkness, also like the moonlight removing suffering, Able to cure the suffering of sentient beings from the three poisons (greed, hatred, and delusion), I offer to Bhaiṣajyaguru (Medicine Master) Vaidūryaprabhārāja (King of Lapis Lazuli Light). Like the great physician king of the world, able to remove the diseases of afflictions and suffering, Like a body of wisdom like a pure Vaidūrya gem, offering can remove the suffering of the three poisons. All the subtle Arghya water (water for offering), and the meritorious water of the world, I offer to Bhaiṣajyaguru (Medicine Master) Light Tathagata, for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept. When going to the Bodhi tree, the earth shakes in six ways, Causing all the Maras to be worried and annoyed, may auspiciousness always be peaceful and secure.
