Padma flowers (波头摩华, Botuomohua, lotus), mandalas (曼陀罗, Mantuluo, circular altar), utpala (优婆罗, Youpoluo, blue lotus) and other fragrances, offered to Shanmingcheng Rulai (善名称如来, Tathagata of Auspicious Name), may your compassion accept it. Exquisite fragrant forests with pleasing scents, universally spreading wonderful heavenly fragrances, offered to Shanmingcheng Rulai (善名称如来), may your compassion accept it. Wonderful light with auspiciousness, capable of removing the darkness of ignorance, offered to Shanmingcheng Rulai (善名称如来), may your compassion accept it. Turmeric (郁金, Yujin, a spice), sandalwood (栴檀, Zhan Tan, sandalwood) and other blends, along with various scented water, offered to Shanmingcheng Rulai (善名称如来), may your compassion accept it. Choice medicines that bring comfort, precious delicacies and exquisite food, offered to Shanmingcheng Rulai (善名称如来), may your compassion accept it. All harps (箜篌, Konghou, a musical instrument), music and all subtle sounds, offered to Shanmingcheng Rulai (善名称如来), may your compassion accept it. All kinds of wonderful medicines, to remove all suffering from illness, offered to the Sugata (善逝, Shanshi, epithet of Buddha) before the assembly (海会, Haihui, gathering), for the benefit of the holy donor (圣施主, Sheng Shizhu, recipient of alms), may you accept it. Such various offerings, and all worldly offerings, offered to the Sugata (善逝, Shanshi) before the assembly (海会, Haihui), for the benefit of the holy donor (圣施主, Sheng Shizhu), may you accept it. All the evil deeds I have committed in the past, all due to beginningless greed, hatred, and delusion, arising from body, speech, and mind, I now repent of them all. All beings in the ten directions, those of the Two Vehicles (二乘, Ercheng, Sravaka and Pratyekabuddha), those still learning (有学, Youxue, trainees) and those who have completed learning (无学, Wuxue, adepts), all Tathagatas (如来, Rulai, epithet of Buddha) and Bodhisattvas (菩萨, Pusa, Bodhisattva), I rejoice in all their merits. All the lights of the world in the ten directions, those who first attained Bodhi (菩提, Puti, enlightenment), I now urge them all to turn the unsurpassed Dharma wheel (法轮, Falun, Dharma). If the Buddhas wish to show Nirvana (涅槃, Nipan, cessation), I sincerely entreat them all, may they abide for kalpas as numerous as dust particles, benefiting and bringing joy to all beings. English version The Buddhas abide in the world, turning the Dharma wheel. I rejoice and praise, repent of all virtuous roots, and dedicate them to all sentient beings for the attainment of Buddhahood. May the Teacher (Buddha) always be our refuge, benefiting all sentient beings. May we all attain all blissful things, may auspiciousness always be present, and may all be peaceful and secure. Bao Yue Lian Hua (Treasure Moon Lotus), renowned for its subtle adornments, knows all knowable dharmas. Vast and extensive like the ocean, Bao Yue Zhi Yan (Treasure Moon Wisdom Adornment), I praise and salute you. Mani (Wish-fulfilling) precious jewel, possessing a pure body, like moonlight dispelling suffering. Also like a lotus, unattached to the world, I offer this most exquisite and adorned body. With pure and undefiled, most exquisite and clean Argha water (offering water). I offer it to Guang Yin Wang Ru Lai (Light Sound King Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. With all kinds of wonderful and precious flowers, grown from water and land. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. In all the worlds of the ten directions, all kinds of wonderful celestial incense. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. Able to dispel all ignorance and darkness, like the sun and moon, bright lamps and candles. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. Able to remove all defilements from breaking precepts, all kinds of pleasing scented oils. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. In all the worlds of the ten directions, all kinds of wonderful celestial foods. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. The Mani (Wish-fulfilling) precious bell emits unsurpassed and wonderful sounds, and all kinds of subtle music. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. All kinds of wonderful medicines, to remove all suffering from illness. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. Like this, all kinds of offering implements, and all kinds of worldly offerings. I offer them to Guang Yin Ru Lai (Light Sound Tathagata), for the benefit of the (holy) benefactor, may you accept it. All the evil deeds I have committed in the past, are all due to greed, hatred, and delusion from beginningless time. English version All sentient beings in the ten directions, including those in the Śrāvakayāna (Hearer Vehicle) and Pratyekabuddhayāna (Solitary Realizer Vehicle) who are still learning and those who have completed their learning, as well as all the Tathāgatas (Thus Come Ones) and Bodhisattvas (Enlightenment Beings), I rejoice in all their merits. All the lamps of the world in the ten directions, those who first attained bodhi (enlightenment), I now earnestly request them all to turn the unsurpassed, wondrous dharma-cakra (wheel of Dharma). If the Buddhas wish to demonstrate nirvana (cessation), I sincerely and earnestly request them to remain in the world for as many kalpas (eons) as there are dust particles in countless lands, to benefit and bring happiness to all sentient beings. All the merit from prostrations, praises, and offerings, the merit from the Buddhas remaining in the world and turning the wheel of Dharma, and all the roots of goodness from rejoicing and repentance, I dedicate to sentient beings and the path to Buddhahood. Bhagavān (World Honored One), with your great compassion that protects and saves, you have compassion for all sentient beings, cherishing and guarding them as if they were your only child, may they always be auspicious, peaceful, and secure. Your body is like the true gold from Jambudvīpa (Rose-apple Continent), your majestic light surpasses a thousand suns, and you are like a stainless, radiant banner. I praise and pay homage to this golden, precious light. Your pure body is like Jambudvīpa gold, your wondrous form is dignified, especially without blemish, your golden, precious light is pure and clear. I offer this wonderful form to you, the guide. With pure, stainless, and pleasing water of merit, the most wonderful of the gods, I offer it to the Golden Light Tathāgata. For the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. With these most wonderful flowers, incense, and lamps, the most wonderful scented oils, the most wonderful foods, and all kinds of musical instruments and offerings, I offer them to the Golden Light Tathāgata. With all kinds of wonderful medicines, to remove all suffering from illness, I offer them to the Golden Light Tathāgata. For the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. With all these various offerings, and all the offerings of the world, I offer them to the Golden Light Tathāgata. For the benefit of the (holy) patrons, may you accept it. All the evil deeds I have committed in the past, all arise from beginningless greed, hatred, and delusion, born from body, speech, and mind, all of these I now repent. All sentient beings in the ten directions, including those in the Hearer Vehicle and Solitary Realizer Vehicle who are still learning and those who have completed their learning, as well as all the Tathāgatas and Bodhisattvas, I rejoice in all their merits. All the lamps of the world in the ten directions, those who first attained enlightenment, I now earnestly request them all to turn the wheel of Dharma.
