Beds, cushions, and other furnishings are all arranged. Like the sands of the Ganges, countless offerings are made to one Tathagata. Just as offerings are made to one Tathagata, so too are offerings made to all the Tathagatas dwelling in the world, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, and they are all respectfully worshipped. Compared to that, if a wise person hears this 'Essence of the Tathagata Sutra', and even just holds one copy, or having held it, explains it to others, then their accumulation of merit will be even greater than the former. O Hero, the merit of holding this Sutra cannot be compared to the former, not even with an analogy. The holder of this Sutra will become the refuge and support of all living beings, and will quickly attain supreme enlightenment. All sentient beings possess the nature of the Tathagata-garbha. Any wise Bodhisattva who understands, contemplates, and cultivates this truth will quickly attain the self-born Dharmakaya. 2. How the Essence Arose Previously: Divided into three parts: how it arose previously, how it was declared with sound, and how the Bhagavan heard this Sutra. (1)How it arose previously: Divided into three parts: how the previous Buddhas appeared, the reason for the Buddha's name, and how he extensively taught this Sutra. First: Vajra Wisdom, through this previous example, it should also be known that Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should cherish this Dharma, because it can accomplish the self-born and other-dependent wisdom of all-knowingness. What is this example? Vajra Wisdom, in the past, immeasurable, countless, extremely vast, immeasurable, inconceivable, incomparable, unspeakable, beyond all kalpas, at that time, there was a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha - endowed with the practice of higher discipline, higher mind, and higher wisdom, the Sugata who perfected the qualities of abandonment and realization, knowing the inclinations, realms, habits, etc. of sentient beings in the world, whether they have the potential or not, the great tamer who tames beings such as gods and humans, the great guide of the Shravaka assembly. Above him... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Without other guides, the highest. Actually showing the Dharma, becoming a matter of great significance. The teacher of the Dharma for gods and humans. The Buddha Bhagavan (Bhagavan, The Blessed One) named 'Always Emitting Light' appeared in the world. Second, Vajramati (Vajramati, Diamond Intelligence) asked: 'Why is that Tathagata called "Always Emitting Light"?' Vajramati replied: 'Bhagavan, that Tathagata "Always Emitting Light," when that Bodhisattva (Bodhisattva, Enlightenment Being) became the last existence, as soon as he entered his mother's womb, while he was dwelling in his mother's womb, light arose from his body. That light illuminated hundreds of thousands of billions of Buddha-fields in the eastern direction, equal to the number of dust particles in ten Buddha-fields, constantly pervading. Similarly, the south, west, north, southeast, southwest, northwest, northeast, below, and above, thus the ten directions of hundreds of thousands of billions of Buddha-fields, equal to the number of dust particles in ten Buddha-fields, constantly pervaded. If one sees the light of that Bodhisattva's body, it brings physical comfort and joy, is pleasing to the eye, brings supreme joy to the mind, and satisfies the heart, so hundreds of thousands of billions of worlds are constantly pervaded by the light as previously shown. Vajramati, when that Bodhisattva dwells in his mother's womb, the light touches beings in those hundreds of thousands of billions of worlds, all of whom are endowed with glorious bodies and beautiful complexions, endowed with unfailing memory of what they have heard, endowed with wisdom and intelligence, and thus endowed with understanding of meaning, and thus endowed with the courage to speak meaningfully. In those hundreds of thousands of billions of worlds, those beings tormented by many sufferings, such as the eighteen hells, and the four forms of animal existence, such as womb-born animals, and the realm of Yama (Yamaraja, Lord of Death), the hungry ghosts who constantly experience hunger and thirst, and the Asuras (Asura, Demigod), all those born in the four evil realms. All those beings, merely by being touched by the light of that Bodhisattva, die and transmigrate from their respective realms, and are born among the gods and humans in the happy realms. Those beings, merely by being touched by the light, become irreversible from unexcelled perfect enlightenment (Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi, unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
