And become a treasury of many Buddha's teachings. Sons of good families, similarly, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, also sees that all sentient beings possess the essence of the Tathagata with the extremely pure eye of the Tathagata. In order to fully manifest the Tathagata's wisdom, power, fearlessness, and the treasury of unmixed Buddha's teachings—the naturally pure essence of the Tathagata—(the Tathagata) teaches the Dharma to the Bodhisattvas. Then, at that time, the Blessed One spoke these verses: For example, in the basement of a poor man's house, there is a treasure filled with wealth and gold. (The treasure) does not generate thoughts or arrogance, nor does it think, 'Treasure, I am yours, the owner of this house.' The treasure does not say this. At that time, the sentient being, the householder, was poor because he had no wealth, but he did not know that he had a treasure, and no one told him that he had a treasure, so that poor man was sitting on the treasure. Similarly, the Tathagata, I, with the Buddha's eye, see that all those sentient beings are like that poor man, and they all possess the treasure of the great lineage, and the essence of the Tathagata is also unconditioned, unwavering, and is the realm of Dharma. I see it as the body of the Tathagata. Seeing this, I teach the Bodhisattvas: 'You, with my wisdom treasure, and the naturally pure lineage, make sentient beings not impoverished by the Dharma nature, become the protector of the world—the Buddha, and make the words of the supreme Dharma treasure become an inexhaustible treasure.' All sentient beings who believe in my teachings in this way will have the essence of the Tathagata revealed to them. All sentient beings who believe in the teachings of the essence of the Tathagata and strive to cultivate their own path will quickly attain the most supreme and perfect Bodhi of the three Bodhis. The principle that a small seed can produce sprouts and other large objects, and that all sentient beings possess the essence of the Tathagata. Sixth, the principle that a small seed can produce sprouts and other large objects, and that all sentient beings possess the essence of the Tathagata is: Sons of good families, to give another example, whether it is a mango, a jambu fruit, a palmyra fruit, or a loquat fruit, inside the outer shell of their kernels, there are seeds that can produce sprouts and stems, etc., but only when the conditions are not met... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If someone plants a seed of a plant that does not rot in the middle in the ground, it will gradually grow and eventually become a great king of trees. Similarly, sons of good family, the Tathagata (title of the Buddhas) also sees that sentient beings (those who have mind) in this world are wrapped in the shells of afflictions of desire (attachment), hatred (aversion), ignorance (delusion), craving (thirst), and unawareness (ignorance). Among these shells of afflictions, mainly desire, hatred, ignorance, craving, and unawareness, which are abandoned by the path of seeing, the essence is the Tathagatagarbha (womb of the Tathagata), which is in a state of defilement, and therefore it is called 'sentient being'. As stated in the Ratnagotravibhāga (Treatise on the Buddha-nature): 'Impure, semi-pure, pure, and extremely pure, respectively refer to sentient beings, Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas.' Therefore, when a sentient being cools down the suffering of afflictions, they attain Nirvana (liberation). Because the shell of afflictions of ignorance is completely purified, the great wisdom assembly of the realm of sentient beings manifests, which is the actual realization of the Tathagatagarbha. This is the conclusion based on logical reasoning. The great wisdom assembly of the realm of sentient beings, the pure Tathagatagarbha, is the basis of Buddha-nature, therefore, the Tathagata Buddha is seen by gods and other beings as no different from the Buddha, and they perceive this Tathagatagarbha as the Tathagata. Sons of good family, therefore, after seeing such a Tathagatagarbha, the Tathagata reveals this Tathagatagarbha to the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas (great Bodhisattvas) so that they can understand, attain, and realize the wisdom of the Tathagata. Then, the Bhagavan (title of the Buddha) spoke these verses: Just as all the fruits of trees such as Palasa have seeds such as Palasa sprouts inside, so do the fruits of Tala trees and Jambu trees. If the fruit inside is nourished by water and fertilizer, it will grow. Similarly, the Lord of Dharma, the Bhagavan, the guide of beings, also sees that all sentient beings are like Palasa seeds, and that the essence of the Sugata (Buddha) exists within them. The stainless Buddha-eye sees this. The defiled state that has not broken the shell of defilement is called a sentient being. At that time, even though dwelling in the defilement of ignorance, there is still pride, discrimination, and suffering. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
