As mentioned above. Similarly, it is said that there are very many other names, so do not be confused by the use of multiple names for one meaning. Refuting the view that the essence is taught as provisional. The second part has three points, the first of which is to refute the view that the third turning of the wheel is provisional: Some say that the last turning of the wheel is Mind-Only, so it is provisional, and the essence shown there is also provisional, because the essence is the main content of the last turning of the wheel. This is very wrong, because there is no evidence that the last turning of the wheel is Mind-Only, and it is said to be the ultimate definitive meaning. In the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra* it says: 'Then, the Bodhisattva Don Dam Yang Dag Phak (Tibetan: *Don dam yang dag 'phags*, Actual Meaning Truly Superior) said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, initially in Varanasi in the Deer Park where the sages spoke, for those who entered the Hearer Vehicle, by showing the form of the Four Noble Truths, you turned a wonderful and rare Wheel of Dharma, which no one, whether they were gods or humans in the past, had ever turned in accordance with the Dharma in the world. That Wheel of Dharma turned by the Bhagavan was unsurpassed, circumstantial, provisional, and a basis for debate. The Bhagavan, starting from the non-essence of all dharmas, starting from non-arising, non-cessation, primordially peaceful, and naturally completely liberated, for those who entered the Great Vehicle, by proclaiming the form of emptiness, turned the second most wonderful and rare Wheel of Dharma. That Wheel of Dharma turned by the Bhagavan was also unsurpassed, circumstantial, provisional, and a basis for debate. The Bhagavan, starting from the non-essence of all dharmas, starting from non-arising, non-cessation, primordially peaceful, and naturally completely liberated, for those who entered all vehicles, turned the third Wheel of Dharma, which was extremely wonderful and rare, possessing excellent distinctions. This Wheel of Dharma turned by the Bhagavan was unsurpassed, uncircumstantial, definitive, and not a basis for debate. The Bhagavan, starting from the non-essence of all dharmas, self-nature.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beginning from the complete Nirvana of the Tathagata, the Bhagavan (世尊,Lord, Blessed One) taught the definitive meaning. If a son or daughter of good family, having heard this, were to believe, strive to write, and having written, also hold, read, make offerings, correctly apply the mind, receive the teachings, recite, remember, and cultivate in the manner of meditation, how much merit would be generated? Having spoken thus, the Bhagavan spoke thus to the Bodhisattva Don Dam Yang Dag Phag (胜义正行,Noble One Who Truly and Rightly Understands the Ultimate Meaning): 'Don Dam Yang Dag Phag, that son or daughter of good family would generate immeasurable and countless merit. Although giving an example is not easy, I will nevertheless explain it to you in brief. Don Dam Yang Dag Phag, for example, the dust that is on the tip of a fingernail, when compared to all the dust that is on the earth, does not even approach one part in a hundred, nor one part in a thousand, nor one part in a hundred thousand, nor in number, nor in part, nor in counting, nor in example, nor in cause. The water in a cow's footprint, when compared to the water of the four great oceans, does not even approach one part in a hundred, up to and including cause. Don Dam Yang Dag Phag, in the same way, the merit that I have spoken of, from believing in the sutras of provisional meaning up to cultivating in the manner of meditation, when compared to this merit of believing in the teaching of definitive meaning, from truly accomplishing it up to truly accomplishing it through cultivation, does not even approach one part in a hundred, up to and including cause.' Having spoken thus, the Bodhisattva Don Dam Yang Dag Phag said to the Bhagavan: 'Bhagavan, what is the name of this teaching, which reveals the intention of the profound liberation? How should we hold it?' The Bhagavan said to him: 'Don Dam Yang Dag Phag, this is the teaching of the ultimate meaning, and it should be held as the teaching of the ultimate meaning.' Thus, it is explained that the second turning of the wheel is definitive in meaning, and the benefits of believing in it, and that this chapter also teaches the ultimate meaning. Refuting Wrong Views on the Teachings of Essence Second, refuting the wrong views of fools who claim to be wise regarding the scriptures. Some say that the profound Prajna (般若,wisdom) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
