From the profound Prajñāpāramitā, because its own nature is such, it is said to be empty by itself. The Dharmadhātu (chos dbyings), like the eye and other places, all imputed forms, etc., their emptiness is the nature of the place, therefore it is said to be empty by itself. When practicing this meaning, contemplate it repeatedly in meditation, and distinguish it in post-meditation wisdom, thereby applying nominal designations. In meditation, neither existence nor non-existence, nor any other elaborations appear, only experiential awareness manifests, which is common to Prajñāpāramitā. In the skillful means of the Completion Stage, the forms, sounds, etc., of emptiness are also considered to be the forms, sounds, etc., of the Dharmadhātu. Because its object is wisdom (ye shes), and it is empty of imputed forms, etc., it is clearly explained that wisdom itself is the ultimate truth. When applying nominal designations in the post-meditation state, imputation is empty of its own nature, others are like illusions, and the perfectly established is the ultimate truth. There is no distinction between truth and truly established. Chandrakirti (Zla ba grags pa) was a debater in the past, but when writing treatises entering mantra, he became a perfect one. This great scholar previously explained that scriptures that proclaim no-self-nature are not true Madhyamaka, and are mostly meditators. This wise one previously explained that all sentient beings from the beginning possess all qualities such as power, although they are Buddhas, they must strive to purify temporary defilements. Now most of the Kagyu (bKa' brgyud pa) also explain it this way, and those who hold the oral transmission believe it deeply. Rngog lo chen po understood the essence of the perfect Buddha, therefore it is said so in the sutras, the true essence is emptiness. Sakya Paṇḍita (Sa skya paṇ chen)'s Buddha-nature is also intentional, the true Buddha-nature is the perfect Buddha, the intention refers to emptiness. Dolpopa (Dol po ba)'s oral transmission comes from the Sakya (Sa skya pa) school. The second is Buton Rinchen Drup (Bu ston rin chen grub), there is nothing he does not know in the scriptures translated into Tibetan, therefore he is the lord of knowledge. This one's view, meditation, and conduct, when explaining Prajñāpāramitā, the view is no-self-nature, and he cultivates it through meditation, the conduct is Prajñāpāramitā, etc., as said in the authoritative scriptures. The experience of the view of mantra is emptiness that possesses all perfections, and the reasoning that stops its elaborations is like Nāgārjuna (Klu sgrub)'s treatises. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the direct perception (pratyakṣa) of individual collections, if meditation (dhyāna) does not precede it, because emptiness (śūnyatā) is not directly seen, it is explained that the appearing aspect is conventionally true (saṃvṛti-satya). Regarding the Essence of the Sugata (Tathāgatagarbha), like Sakya Pandita, it is explained with numerous scriptures (āgama) and reasoning (yukti), clarifying that it has a hidden meaning (abhiprāya). Although it is boasted that the literal meaning of the Sugata Essence is Great Nirvana (mahāparinirvāṇa), it is said that the explanation of the non-literal meaning is very clear. It is not appropriate to explain as scripture the classifications of the Completion Stage (sampannakrama) and Debate Stage (vivādakrama), and the Debate Stage of the Intermediate Wheel (madhyamacakra), which are not mentioned in the Great Sutras (mahāsūtra). In the Treatise on the Sublime Continuum of the Great Vehicle (Mahāyānottaratantra-śāstra), the Suchness (tathatā) with defilements is not directly explained as Enlightenment (bodhi). These and other points are explained in detail. This scholar, in the degenerate age (kaliyuga), has been very kind in explaining the Great Scriptures. He has gathered the well-spoken teachings of discipline (vinaya) and the secret essence of the teachings. In the wonderful Kālacakra, if there is no more extensive explanation than this, then most will wander in the dark continents. Relying on it, many can quickly become familiar and able to explain. Without relying on this feast of explanation, no one can see the wonderful spectacle of the Yoga Tantras and all the commentaries. The mere way of explaining self-emptiness (sva-śūnyatā) and other-emptiness (para-śūnyatā) is not the basis of Jowo's (Atiśa) dispute, because the definitive meaning of mantra, according to the Bu ston's view, is also other-emptiness. Auspicious and perfect! Om, may there be auspicious accomplishment! In the land of snows (Tibet), the two traditions of explanation that have cultivated intelligence in the ways of scripture and reasoning are known as Sakya and Ngog. After Ngog built the monastery, two hundred and thirty-four years later, Lo chen, who was prophesied by the Buddha, opened the great tradition of scripture and reasoning. He adopted the excellent view of Nāgārjuna and the reasoning of Pramāṇavārttika, and introduced them into this great tradition, thus teaching the nectar of emptiness. He practiced the emptiness explained by Pramāṇavārttika, guided by reasoning. Like Atiśa, he practiced the essential instructions of the Madhyamaka-upadeśa. Without relying on the three-aspect reasoning (trairūpya-hetu), merely by refuting the wrong views of the proponents of substance (dravyasat), he does not believe that emptiness can be realized, nor does he accept the theory of illusion. He does not believe that emptiness can be measured by valid cognition (pramāṇa), nor that ultimate truth (paramārtha-satya) is an object of consciousness. However, he does not deny what is to be refuted by the reasoning of Candrakīrti. Even if one proves selflessness (niḥsvabhāva) with the reasoning of the wise (legh ldan 'byed), using the remaining basis (lhag chod gnas) and self-nature cause (svarūpahetu), one will fall into the abyss of eternalism and nihilism. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
