The six founders of the Sakya school guide many disciples with their teachings. The Drikung Kagyu school focuses on 'Chiktup' (藏文:ཆིག་ཐུབ་, meaning 'sole realization'), to avoid the faults of others, they value the fivefold meditation and cherish the purity of Pratimoksha vows. The Taglung Kagyu school is known for its perfect discipline, they uphold the practice tradition of 'Mahamudra' and 'The Six Dharmas of Naropa' related to the outer Kalachakra initiation, and they venerate the teachings of 'Hevajra'. Although the Karma Kagyu school also values 'The Six Dharmas of Naropa' and 'Mahamudra', they also follow the new translation of the Sutra and Tantra teachings, and practice some Nyingma teachings. The teachings of Yagönpa include the different traditions of the Kagyu school, as well as 'Lamdre' (Path and Fruit) and related teachings, they accept and promote the tradition of practice in accordance with the Dharma. Although the 'Mahamudra' and 'The Six Dharmas of Naropa' of the Shangpa Kagyu school also originate from different traditions, their content is roughly the same as Naropa's teachings, and they integrate the outer Kalachakra tradition. The methods of pacifying suffering by the great masters are mostly the teachings of Prajnaparamita, directly observing the luminosity of one's own mind nature, and sometimes explaining it in the form of mantras. The Sakya school does not deny the fundamental teachings of 'Mahamudra' of the Kagyu school, but in guiding disciples to practice, they use more logic and reasoning. Especially regarding 'Mahamudra', if it is a practice of Tantra, then four initiations are required. If not, then one needs to study the scriptures of Prajnaparamita and realize it through study. They believe that merely having devotion to the guru who gives the four initiations can realize 'Mahamudra', but if not from such a guru, it is impossible to realize 'Mahamudra'. The Kadampa school believes that there is no distinction between Sutra and Tantra teachings, and for most people, the practice methods are very confusing. A brief distinction between the view, meditation, and conduct of this school: The view to be realized is the reality of all phenomena, and the wisdom that can realize reality is the view, which is in line with the view of Abhidharma. In all the Sutra and Tantra scriptures, the reality of all phenomena is unique, and there is no other saying, that is innate wisdom. In order to realize innate wisdom, both Sutra and Tantra teach the wisdom arising from hearing and thinking, as well as the supreme pith instructions. The view arising from hearing and thinking is called 'the view of hearing', and the state experienced through meditation is called 'the view of possessing all virtues'. If someone says that the view determined through reasoning should be practiced and experienced, this is not the view of this school, because it contradicts all their teachings. The emptiness recognized during hearing and thinking is not the reality of all phenomena, because it is still the object of conceptual thought, if one clings to it, it will become poison.

To those nihilists who claim nothing exists, What they call 'utter emptiness', Is just a state where nothing can be found by reason. Although that is not the ultimate truth, Because it has an excellent specialty in preventing attachment, When gradually entering the view, One should also accept it at the beginning. The unique wisdom of emptiness that can be experienced, Is the true direction of the Bodhi path. As the basis of all merits, Arising in essence and for a long time, After becoming accustomed, all merits, Will manifest as the nature of that wisdom, This is meditation. Actions can be divided into Paramita (Paramita, Sanskrit, to reach the other shore, to cross over) actions, And Mantra actions. The former refers to in the realm of consciousness, For all the phenomena that appear, Not conducting rational analysis, And in that state without any attachment, From that state arising the supreme Bodhicitta, And the actions of the six Paramitas, Maturing all sentient beings, Purifying all Buddha lands. The latter refers to in Mantra, for all the phenomena of the realm of consciousness, Visualizing them as unattainable, Arising from wisdom, Through the actions of Mantra, perfecting the two accumulations. The Sakya (Sakya, Sanskrit, gray earth) school is very famous for, The view of Samsara and Nirvana being non-dual, In later times explained as the union of appearance and emptiness, Saying it is either existent or non-existent is unreasonable. Initially, when accumulating wisdom accumulation, It is said to block appearance and only meditate on emptiness, Wisdom. When explaining the view of the union of appearance and emptiness, It was previously said 'like illusion' and 'established by reason', As well as 'free from elaboration' and 'non-abiding'. Generally speaking, appearance is wisdom, In that unattainable realm, It is called union, Not appearing while being empty. In short, the supreme Sakya school, The view realm of the four initiations, Not only explained as separate parts, But believes only in wisdom. The above is the established conclusion. Auspicious! The difference between the views and meditations of later and earlier times Auspicious and perfect! In the Sakya school, the founder called Jo-Zhal, Appeared. The explanation of the view and meditation of the omniscient Dolpopa (Dolpopa, name of a person), The ultimate view of the Mantra and Paramita scriptures, Is determined to be one. The only one is the third turning of the wheel, The emptiness that possesses all excellent aspects. The understanding of emptiness, explained as non-affirming negation, This is a controversial statement, The freedom of the perfect stage, The Buddha's words and treatises have not said this. Therefore, the profound other-emptiness Dharma, Is what Maitreya (Maitreya, Sanskrit, Loving-kindness) and Asanga (Asanga, Sanskrit, Unattached) said, Nagarjuna (Nagarjuna, Sanskrit, Dragon tree) also certainly thought so, The Buddha also said so in the third turning of the wheel. Through hearing and thinking, The reasoning to determine this view, Should also be known. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
