If there is no (basis for practice), if such a person performs the Powa (འཕོ་བའི་ཆོ་ག, the ritual of transferring consciousness) properly, then immediately after the Powa, they can manifest the exemplary wisdom symbolized by the Tantric tradition, due to the power of the wind-mind entering the central channel. In short, all Tantric Powas must be performed when the death luminosity (འཆི་བ་འོད་གསལ, the clear light of death) has already manifested. If Powa is performed at an inappropriate time, due to the sin of 'killing a deity', the Powa may become a cause for falling into the lower realms. Tantric Powa practitioners, whether superior or intermediate, may not necessarily be able to transfer to a specific place due to the varying degrees of familiarity with the path. However, it is impossible for them not to be reborn in the abode of Vidyadharas or the realm of Dakinis, due to the blessings of the deities and gurus, compassion and aspiration, and the power of the wind-mind entering the central channel. Having been born there, they will gradually attain the supreme Siddhi of Mahamudra Here it is said: If transferred to the place to be transferred, one will be reborn in the place to be reborn. If reborn in the place to be reborn, one will abide in the place to be abided. Constant and stable, eternal and unchanging. Abiding in the place to be abided, sitting in the place to be seated. The answer to the third question is completed perfectly. Homage to Vajradhara (རྡོ་རྗེ་འཛིན, Vajradhara)! Now explaining the method of meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva The one with the name of Vajra asks and answers to the practitioners of Vajrayana. Here there are two parts: first, a direct answer; second, an explanation of doubts. First, the direct answer: To perform the recitation of Vajrasattva according to the ritual, the meditation must also be performed according to the ritual. To perform meditation and recitation according to the ritual, it is necessary to ensure that the mind is not distracted. If the mind is distracted when reciting the mantra (སྔགས, mantra), then even reciting it millions of times is meaningless. There are many kinds of mantras for Vajrasattva, but according to the context of this question, it clearly refers to the hundred-syllable mantra (ཡིག་བརྒྱ, the hundred-syllable mantra of Vajrasattva) of Vajrasattva. There are two situations for reciting the hundred-syllable mantra: first, before breaking the root vows (རྩ་ལྟུང, root vows), as a preliminary practice for the path; second, for those who have broken the root vows, as a method of purification. The first situation is learning a special method of not breaking the root vows, so it is almost impossible to break them. For something that is impossible to happen, there is no need to discuss whether it needs to be purified, just like a rabbit's horn. The second situation is that if one has already broken the root vows, then performing meditation and recitation according to the ritual to purify them is also divided into two types: first, performing it after generating the wisdom of the union of bliss and emptiness (བདེ་སྟོང་ཟུང་འཇུག, the union of bliss and emptiness); second, performing it before generating the wisdom of the union of bliss and emptiness. The first situation is that after generating the wisdom of the union of bliss and emptiness, the transgression of the root vows --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the habitual tendencies of the root downfalls cannot be destroyed by ordinary meditation and recitation alone, then they cannot be destroyed by the wisdom of the union of bliss and emptiness, because there cannot be a countermeasure that cannot be eliminated by mantra. The second method of meditation and recitation actually prolongs the maturation of the root downfall, rather than eradicating it from the root, just like the methods of confessing downfalls in the Pratimoksha and Bodhisattva vows. The second part, explaining the doubts in detail, is divided into two parts: explaining the meaning of the previous answer and explaining the meaning of the subsequent answer. The first part is: As the ritual says, meditating on Vajrasattva, this is the most ultimate Guru Yoga of the Anuttarayoga Tantra, which is a skillful method to directly lead into the wisdom of bliss and emptiness, which is agreed upon by all Tantric practitioners. The wisdom generated in this way can make the root downfall, which is the object to be abandoned, not arise in the future, and can eradicate the already generated habitual tendencies from the root, which is unanimously recognized by all the great treatises of Sutra and Tantra. Regarding the meaning of the subsequent answer, it is divided into two parts: What is the meaning of prolonging the maturation? And, is it necessary to eventually experience the temporarily prolonged maturation? The first part is: If the most serious root downfall occurs, this will break the Tantric vows, and if the downfall is not confessed, one will definitely fall into the Vajra Hell. Through the power of rough meditation and recitation, it can prevent the downfall from multiplying every day, and also prevent the maturation of this single downfall from maturing immediately in the next life, but it is postponed. However, since the habitual tendencies have not been purified, it is still possible to experience the retribution in other lives. The second part is: Even so, it is possible that the maturation will never be experienced, because through the power of confession, the downfall has become an uncertain karma. After doing so, receiving and obtaining initiations in mandalas such as sand mandalas, even if the habitual tendencies of the previous root downfall have not been completely purified, can make the habitual tendencies of this downfall not produce maturation, becoming a definite result. Furthermore, even if a Tantric practitioner who has committed a root downfall purifies the root downfall through the ritual of meditation and recitation, in order to be included as a Tantric practitioner again, it is still necessary to receive the initiation from the root again, like a beginner, because it is necessary to retake the Tantric vows, just like the case of the Bodhisattva vows. The above discussion is completed. The question arising from this: Do the seeds of the afflictive obscurations (Kleśāvaraṇa) and the cognitive obscurations (Jñeyāvaraṇa) also need to be purified in this way? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
