Homage to the wisdom being's body [Sanskrit: Jñānakāya Mañjuśrī] who possesses the form of wisdom. The nature of Dharmakaya is clarity and emptiness, And the three forms of the primordial Samantabhadra Buddha. From the 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: without) at your heart, illuminating the three realms, Homage to the white light that dispels darkness. Born from the syllable 'Hrīḥ' (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: great shame) is the body of the sharp Vajra Sword [Sanskrit: Vajratikṣaṇa], Bright as a plum blossom, adorned with a lotus in the left hand. Guiding sentient beings, Amitābha (Infinite Light) Homage to the wisdom being's body. Born from the syllable 'Hūṃ' (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: wrathful) is the body of the Vajra Sword [Sanskrit: Vajradukha Ttsheda], Shining like an emerald, majestic with a vajra in the left hand. Eliminating hatred, Akṣobhya (Immovable One) Homage to the wisdom being's body. Born from the syllable 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: without) is the body of wisdom [Sanskrit: Prajñājñāna], Shining like a white lotus, possessing the wheel of wisdom. Skilled at eliminating ignorance, Dīpaṃkara (Lamp Bearer) Homage to the wisdom being's body. Born from the syllable 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: without) is the one with the body of wisdom [Sanskrit: Jñānakāya], Yellow-green, holding various vajras in the left hand. Skilled at destroying jealousy, Amoghasiddhi (Unfailing Success) Homage to the wisdom being's body. Born from the syllable 'Oṃ' (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: perfection) is the lord of speech [Sanskrit: Vāgīśvara], Golden and radiant, adorned with jewels in the left hand. Pacifying pride, Ratnasambhava (Jewel Born) Homage to the wisdom being's body. Born from the syllable 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: without) is the mind that ripens all beings [Sanskrit: Arapacana], Radiating like a snow mountain, holding a book in the left hand. Destroying all afflictions, Vajrasattva (Diamond Being) Homage to the wisdom being's body. All deities have one face, abiding in indivisible vajra posture, The right hand holds a sword, cutting through all conceptual constructs, From the 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: without) at your heart, illuminating all realms, Homage to the white light that dispels darkness. The six emanations of the Chakravartin (Wheel-Turning King), One form of the Sambhogakaya (Enjoyment Body) of the primordial Buddha. The wisdom being's body that destroys afflictions, I pay homage to the clearly manifested six realms. With the form of pure Dharmadhatu (Realm of Truth) emptiness, Pacifying the chain of conceptual thoughts that grasp at names, With countless dances of various forms, Destroying afflictions, I pay homage to you. Having praised in this way, may the conceptual thoughts of limitless beings Arise in the state of clear light, May the wisdom of the ground of Mañjuśrī be realized on the path, May the Mañjuśrī of the fruition be accomplished in this life! This was written by the venerable spiritual friend, in the Black Fish month of the Golden Vine year, at the secluded hermitage of Thupten Sermokyen in Tsang Yeru. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The unedited scribe: is Geshe (mentor) Chökyi Gyaltsen. May there be auspiciousness! Having performed the seven-branch purification at the feet of the venerable Maitreya, and generated the mind of enlightenment, now begins the playing of the melody of the supreme vehicle. [Having performed the seven-branch purification at the feet of the venerable Maitreya, and generated the mind of enlightenment, now begins the playing of the melody of the supreme vehicle.] Namo Arya Maitrinathaya (Tibetan: ན་མོ་ཨཱརྱ་མཻ་ཏྲི་ནཱ་ཐ་ཡ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नम आर्य मैत्रिनाथाय, Sanskrit Romanization: nama ārya maitrināthāya, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Holy Maitreya, the Protector). In the delightful space before the pure expanse of the sky, within the tent painted with Indra's bow, upon the throne piled with various white clouds, I request Maitreya Gyalwa to quickly descend and abide. With a body adorned with the fresh rainbow of marks and signs (Tibetan: མཚན་དཔེའི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: लक्षणानुव्यञ्जन, Sanskrit Romanization: lakṣaṇānuvyañjana, Literal Chinese meaning: marks and signs), with a voice that constantly speaks the supreme vehicle, with a mind that is a treasure of all qualities, I prostrate to Maitreya, the protector of beings. Though gazing upon your body is never satiating, hearing your voice immediately brings coolness. Your mind is free from all faults, becoming the lord of activities, I prostrate to you. After the great Shakyamuni Buddha's (Tibetan: ཐུབ་ཆེན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: महामुनि, Sanskrit Romanization: mahāmuni, Literal Chinese meaning: Great Sage) sun has set, you, Maitreya, rise like the moon, making the three realms like daytime. I prostrate to you, the successor of the Buddha. Although the minds of the beings of Jambudvipa are turbid, and the moon of Shakya's son has set, you, Maitreya, hold the lineage of the great vehicle Dharma. I prostrate to you, the holder of the Buddha's teachings. The compassionate teacher is as full as the full moon, the evil deeds of the beings of the three thousand worlds are like darkness. Even so, the light of Maitreya's compassion remains forever in this land. I prostrate to you. When the loving heart of all Buddhas, wishing to benefit others, manifests as a body adorned with the rainbow light of marks and signs, it is known as Maitreya (Tibetan: བྱམས་པའི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: मैत्रेय, Sanskrit Romanization: maitreya, Literal Chinese meaning: loving) and Maitreya Gyalwa. I prostrate to you, the white umbrella of fame. The supreme vehicle Dharma spoken by the compassionate teacher is the ultimate essence of all teachings. You adorn these teachings with the conduct of a Bodhisattva, making Jambudvipa as bright as day. I prostrate to you. With the wisdom that is non-dualistic, self-illuminating, and self-aware, as the object of view, and the mind that cultivates this view, you, with the Middle Way that removes all obscurations. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
