He was elevated to the position of leader, and generally made innovations and revisions to many Dharmas. In particular, regarding treatises on grammar (Sanskrit: śabda-vidyā), poetry (Sanskrit: kāvya), metrics (Sanskrit: chandas), lexicography (Sanskrit: abhidhāna), drama (Sanskrit: nāṭaka), medicine (Sanskrit: cikitsā), crafts (Sanskrit: śilpa), and the measurements of sculptures, although not all texts were completely translated, he thoroughly studied the Sanskrit originals and translated important sections, and composed many treatises clarifying these contents. At that time, everyone honored him as a translator. During those times, some non-Buddhist teachers who followed Brahma and Vishnu made an appointment to debate with the Sakya Dharma speakers of the Land of Snows. Accompanied by some who were skilled in reasoning, he traveled to the city of Mangyul Kyi. Establishing the Dharma as his witness, he debated with them in Sanskrit. At that time, Harakshita, who was renowned in India as a lion among debaters and was especially outstanding, led his students to convert to Buddhism and followed him. After that, he desired to establish a great monastic college that did not rely on other Tibetan traditions, teaching Pratimoksha, Hetu-vidya, Abhidharma, Sutra-anta, and the five sciences. Regarding the logicians who refuted logic in Tibet, the Treasure of Reasoning (Pramāṇa-yukti-nidhi), and the common and special views of the Nyingma, Kadampa, and Mahamudra schools, as well as some newly translated teachings from India, although he did not completely reject these, he composed treatises refuting the errors within them, such as the 'Differentiation of the Three Vows,' 'Letter to the Buddha,' 'Entrance for the Wise,' and so on. Relying on these, he perfected the three aspects of learning through hearing, thinking, and meditating, became skilled in the three activities of teaching, debating, and writing, and his fame for being learned, virtuous, and excellent spread throughout Jambudvipa. Because he obtained prophecies about his present and future lives from Yogishvara, Jetsun, and others, he also received the title 'Lord of Dharma,' which was previously unknown in Tibet. In this way, this great being established a sangha and a great monastic college, completed a collection of treatises classifying the Dharma, translated the five sciences that were previously unknown, and completely preserved the practices and meditations of Vajrayana in many ways. At that time, considering the complete fulfillment of the profound intentions of the previous three masters, for the benefit of the sangha of the ten directions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He invited those who abide in the training of higher discipline (Sanskrit: Adhisila-siksa), who are proficient in the words and meanings of the Tripitaka (Sanskrit: Tripiṭaka, meaning: Buddhist scriptures) and Tantras (Sanskrit: Tantra, meaning: esoteric scriptures), and even those who only hold a portion of the scriptures. He honored them in various ways, pleasing and satisfying them with respect and abundant offerings. Through many ways of discussing the Dharma, debating and examining, he made everyone satisfied and convinced. The Lord himself (referring to the Sakya master), in the center of the assembly, recited the Pratimoksha-sutra (Sanskrit: Pratimoksha-sutra, meaning: the Sutra of Discipline) and the Bhadrakalpika-sutra (Sanskrit: Bhadrakalpika-sutra, meaning: the Sutra that tells of the Thousand Buddhas of the Auspicious Aeon) in a pure and correct manner, and held a harmonious and auspicious Uposatha (Sanskrit: Uposatha, meaning: day of fasting). He spoke extensively about the unprecedented origin of the Dharma, the history of the lineage, and the years of passing, combining them with ancient stories, so the great fame of 'Sakya turning the Wheel of Dharma' spread throughout Jambudvipa (Sanskrit: Jambudvipa, meaning: the human world). This commonly known method of reckoning the teachings originated from this very action. Therefore, from the time the Teacher (Shakyamuni Buddha) was conceived in the year of the Female Fire Rabbit and born in the year of the Male Earth Dragon, until the present year of the Female Wood Rabbit, three thousand seven hundred years have passed. After praising this tradition, the Holy Lord (referring to Sakya Pandita) held two Wheels of Dharma, the first gathering seventy thousand Dharma teachers, and the second gathering fifty thousand Dharma teachers, receiving more offerings and respect than before. When Tishri Kunga Lodro (Tibetan: ti shri kun dga' blo gros) went to Tibet to receive the full ordination of a monk, he retained the original structure of the Wheel of Dharma and the method of debate. All of these were held in conjunction with the inauguration ceremonies of newly built or restored statues, the precious Kangyur (Tibetan: bka' 'gyur, meaning: the translated words of the Buddha) and Tengyur (Tibetan: bstan 'gyur, meaning: translated commentaries) scriptures made of precious materials, and the completion of external stupas (Tibetan: sku 'bum), and the placing of golden roofs on all these statues, holding grand consecration celebrations. Later, Chöje Lama Dampa (Tibetan: chos rje bla ma dam pa), at the age of sixty-one, held the Wheel of Dharma at a place known as 'Bodong Chokhor' (Tibetan: bo dong chos 'khor), and at the age of sixty-three, held the Wheel of Dharma at a place known as 'Samye Chokhor' (Tibetan: bsam yas chos 'khor), and it is said that the method of debate was slightly different from before. The results of the Sakya's turning of the Wheel of Dharma are: How many virtuous friends who uphold the teachings have emerged, and how many Dharma colleges that uphold the lineage of explanation have been established, in short, all of this is due to the blessings of the three supreme lords (referring to the three founding ancestors of the Sakya lineage) and the merits of Chöje uncle and nephew (referring to Sakya Pandita and Phagpa). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
