Great one, I pray to the virtuous spiritual friend! For Bodhicitta and the supreme conduct of the Bodhisattvas, Never transgressing, the root of the teachings is, Not exceeding the boundaries of the Vinaya. I pray to the wise and disciplined son of the Buddhas! Whatever actions of body, speech, and mind you perform, Are solely for the benefit of the Dharma and sentient beings. With the virtuous deeds you intend, Making the snowy land bright, I pray to you! With the light of asceticism free from defilements, Shining brightly among the stars of the practice lineage, Making the Kagyu teachings like daylight, I pray to you, who are worthy of reverence by all! Free from the duality of grasping and the grasped, Realizing the unchanging great bliss wisdom, Attaining the Mahamudra body of union of bliss and emptiness. I pray to you, may you surely attain it! During the practice, free from all elaborations, In the main practice, not fixating on anything, In the state of non-grasping, freely playing with Mahamudra. I pray to you, master of view! In the post-meditation state, whatever appearances arise, Seeing them as illusory and dreamlike manifestations, Joyfully accumulating vast merit, I pray to you, master of conduct! Observing with the eye of knowing all sciences, Holding all beings with the hand of compassion, Protecting the teachings with virtuous deeds, With only the benefit of beings in mind, I pray to you! Words pure, the meaning expressed clear, Pleasing to the ear, sinking into the heart. Skilled in imparting truth to the listeners, I pray to you, the unparalleled expounder! Drawing essence from the depths of the ocean of Sutras and Tantras, Riding on the horses of sharp wisdom and fearlessness, With the sun of reasoning that defeats wrong views, Dispelling the darkness in the minds of others, I pray to you! Flowing from the snow mountain of inner wisdom, Passing through the great path of hundreds of grammatical styles, Holding the beautiful garland of hundreds of terminological treatises, I pray to you, the one who showers the great rain of composition! Holding the victory banner of pure morality, Residing on the ground of accomplishment, knowing all scriptures. Future prophesying Vajra protectors, Using them like servants, I pray to you! With the eloquent speech that delights Saraswati, Your treasury of wisdom is free from all poverty. You possess the nectar-like glory surpassing the wish-fulfilling tree of ancient India, I pray to you! Thus, I pray to you with reverence, May you be pleased by the offerings of hearing, thinking, and meditating. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
