Having confessed all wrong views and actions, May you hold us in your care in all our future lives. I rejoice in all the virtues of the three times, And pray that you turn the profound and vast wheel of Dharma, And that you remain steadfast for the sake of immeasurable beings. I pray, bless all beings. May your lineage be connected like a snow mountain, May your disciples flow like a river, May your activities fill everything like an ocean, May the teachings remain long, may there be auspiciousness! This is a verse of supplication to Je Taklung Thangpa Ngakgi Wangchuk Drakpa (Meaning: Taklung Thangpa, the powerful voice of fame), called 'Melodious Offering of Definitive Words'. At the request of Chakchenpa Paldan Chosang (Meaning: Glorious Dharma Good), it was composed by Pal Shakya Chokden Drime Leklo (Meaning: Glorious Shakya Supreme, Immaculate Good Intellect), a disciple of the same Je, and the scribe was Chokyi Gyaltsen (Meaning: Banner of Dharma). From the time you took the novice vows until the twenty-third year after you took the full monastic vows, You diligently studied and practiced, perfecting your training. From then until the age of seventy-six, You taught the Dharma almost without interruption, Maturing and liberating countless disciples, I prostrate to you. You completely taught the Vinaya Sutra and its commentaries, the Matters, and The rituals of the upper tantras and their extensive explanations, Completing each in three months, You fulfilled your vow, admirable indeed. You completely taught the Abhidharma Kosha and its two commentaries, Adorned with the teaching styles of Chim (Meaning: Fearless) and Neupe (Meaning: Neupe), Completing each in two months, You fulfilled your vow without any obstacles. Acting in such a way, like a great Sthavira, Accustomed to diligence without weariness, I know this is the blessing of your fulfilled intention. For what you said at the end, I have heartfelt faith. In your Sangha, Gathered are many monks, With the pure Pratimoksha vows as their core, With the Three Matters, fasting rituals, etc., Maintaining pure conduct, I have faith in this. Oh, only you can satisfy yourself! Regarding the magnificent Dharma hall that you uphold, Like this, tirelessly expounding various Dharma teachings, Is there anyone else who can do it? If not, Shouldn't I especially take refuge in you? You diligent ones who possess gurus, Harbor such deep concern for the Dharma, May the capable disciples, Inseparably wear this armor with their body, speech, and mind! With just one glance, it is known that you have transcended the world. After contemplation, today I know that you are a great Bodhisattva. For the profound and vast Dharma activities you have done, I prostrate with reverence through body, speech, and mind! The virtuous merits arising from such aspiration and devotion, May I also possess the courage of a Buddha's son, With the wings of hearing and thinking that never separate, May I hold up the victory banner of the Dharma!
