Since you also acknowledge this, the fact that good and evil dharmas generally exist, and that they are accepted and rejected as they should be, is considered to be the view of the Madhyamaka Svātantrika school. Since you acknowledge it in this way, what will happen? If so, then it will become an acknowledgement of the extreme of nihilism that Nāgārjuna rejected. You have also not explained well the meaning of 'the non-existent go to bad migrations', because you explain it as the fact that actions such as killing, which are associated with the three poisons of desire, hatred and ignorance, and actions such as refraining from killing, which are associated with the three roots of virtue, are also non-existent in conventional terms. Since you explain it in this way, why do you not explain the other reasons? Because you have not recognized the nihilistic view, and you cannot find a basis for acknowledging the nihilistic view. The first point is, as it is said: 'What previously existed does not exist now', it will become clear by analyzing the meaning of this statement. The second point is, even the materialists (lokāyata) of the world do not have the nihilistic view that you speak of, because they do not deny things that are established by direct perception, and they only explain that they have not seen a reason to establish 'non-existence'. So, what is the nihilistic view? And who has it? The first point is that the view that this or that action will not produce a desirable or undesirable result, is the same as asserting that there is no future life, and clinging to the opposite of this is the view of existence. The second point is that this nihilistic view naturally exists in the minds of ordinary worldly people who are defiled by innate ignorance, and it also exists in the minds of materialists and others who are defiled by conceptual ignorance, due to the influence of philosophical tenets. For those who have entered the Buddhist Dharma, the possibility of generating this nihilistic view due to the influence of the tenets of the lower three schools is small. If the way in which wisdom is applied when hearing and thinking about the profound Dharma of emptiness is incorrect, this view will arise, and one will fall into hell because of it. As it is said in the Ratnāvalī: 'If one understands this Dharma incorrectly, unwise people will also be destroyed by it. In this way, with the view of non-existence, one will sink into impurity. Furthermore, if one grasps it wrongly, a foolish and arrogant person, abandoning the path, with a cruel nature, will fall headfirst into Avīci hell.' Therefore, afterwards, one must also rely on other treatises to understand the way to be free from extremes.
