Admonishing with words of detachment: I prostrate to the all-pervading Chakravarti (จักกฺรวตฺติ, cakravarti, Wheel-Turning King). Here, regarding mantra and Prajnaparamita (पारमिता, pāramitā, Perfection of Wisdom), there is no difference in view, but there is a great difference in skillful means, as is said by all, so let us examine this here. 'Not confused about one meaning' and so on, and for the means of realizing freedom from elaboration, mantra is especially superior, as was said by the wise ones of the past. In later times, those who faultlessly comment on the stainless scriptures due to the faults of their own minds, consider all the scriptures from Madhyamaka (དབུ་མ་, Madhyamaka, the Middle Way) and above to be views to be realized. The uncommon view of mantra is coemergent wisdom (ལྷན་ཅིག་སྐྱེས་ཡེ་ཤེས, sahaja-jñāna, innate wisdom), and both the means of realization and the result to be realized are not present in Prajnaparamita. The freedom from elaboration of Prajnaparamita is not realized by the wisdom of mantra, the emptiness (śūnyatā, शून्यता, emptiness, voidness) realized by mantra is contained within the great bliss free from defilements. However, the freedom from elaboration of Prajnaparamita, which is analyzed at the limits by reasoning arising from thought, is explained by mantra practitioners as a view of hearing and thinking, but not as a view to be realized. Because the mind with its object of focus is itself conceptual thought, it is regarded as poisonous and as an antidote to reverse attachment. Although there is no difference in the traditions regarding the way of explaining mere freedom from elaboration, there is no certainty that it is a view to be realized. Especially the emptiness of the Svatantrika (svātantrika, independent) and Prasangika (prāsaṅgika, consequentialist) Madhyamaka, and what is to be realized in the mantra system, although they have a common basis, it should be known that they are not inherently existent. The emptiness of Yogacara (yogācāra, Yoga practice) and the coemergent nature of mantra, because they have a common basis, both are called self-aware wisdom separately. However, the non-dual wisdom realized through hearing, thinking, and reasoning, in terms of conventional truth (saṁvṛti-satya, 世俗谛), is the wisdom realized through the power of a third party (referring to the Buddha), therefore, Jetsun Drakpa's (གྲགས་པ, Grags-pa) feet said that this is the ultimate truth (paramārtha-satya, 胜义谛) that is not nominal. Then, if asked what is the special feature of the skillful means of mantra? Everyone explains with just the words 'initiation (abhiṣeka, अभिषेक, empowerment, blessing) and stages (krama, stages)'. If so, how should one identify what is explained as 'the inseparability of skillful means and wisdom'? There are very many who speak of explaining the union of skillful means and wisdom, but if the meaning of inseparability is explained as having both, it is said to be completely confused. The great bliss wisdom arising from familiarity with initiation and stages is the great skillful means of mantra, and that itself is free from all elaborations. That is explained as the union of bliss and emptiness (sukha-śūnyatā-yuganaddha, सुखशून्यतायुगनद्ध, union of bliss and emptiness, the combination of bliss and emptiness), and as the inseparability of skillful means and wisdom. Such an inseparability of skillful means and wisdom is not realized by hearing and thinking, and because that is not realized, there is also no path of seeing (darśanamārga, दर्शनमार्ग, path of seeing, the path of seeing the truth). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because it is not other, it cannot be realized by anything other than mantra. That wisdom Mahamudra (phyag rgya chen po, great seal) arising from empowerment and the two stages, initially arises as an example wisdom, even so, yogis cannot distinguish its difference through manifestation and nature. Thereafter, if one does not separate from diligence, meaning wisdom will quickly arise. The inseparability of skillful means and wisdom, contemplate the power and ability differences through habituating it. Through it, the complete perfect enlightenment that can be achieved in one lifetime is equal to the possibility of accumulating great merit of the Paramitas (Paramita, to the other shore), which can only be achieved after countless eons. Even so, without relying on this, one cannot obtain the complete enjoyment body with seven branches. The accumulation of merit of the Paramitas (Paramita, to the other shore), combined with the wisdom that understands the emptiness of the three spheres (i.e., the emptiness of the giver, the receiver, and the gift), is not a true union. The five Paramitas (Paramita, to the other shore) are all within the realm of conventional truth. The skillful means of mantra brings great bliss, uniting with emptiness. Through practicing from emptiness wisdom, both skillful means and wisdom belong to the realm of ultimate truth. If the deities of the generation stage must also be practiced from ultimate truth, then the great bliss of the completion stage, because it is unfailing, is ultimate truth. May the virtue of such teachings cause the followers of previous scholars to not mix with later words, but to uphold their own tenets!' This is 'The Beautiful Ornament of the Play of Great Bliss,' which distinguishes between the view of hearing and the view of experience. Homage to Vajradhara (Vajradhara, the holder of the vajra)! Regarding the explanation of the great difference between those who speak of no self-nature and the view to be realized by mantra, disputes should be avoided. If the emptiness of mantra cannot be established by the reasoning of those who speak of no self-nature, it will transcend the Madhyamaka school. The mantra school will be different from the Paramita (Paramita, to the other shore) school. Then, what is the meaning of establishing and refuting the nine vehicles? In response, a brief answer is as follows: Generally, there are three types of Madhyamaka, namely the two Madhyamaka arising from the two chariot traditions and the Madhyamaka of mantra. If the two chariot traditions are not distinguished, then who will follow whom? The Asanga brothers do not explain their own Yogacara (Thal Rang) as Madhyamaka, nor do they explain the other's school as Madhyamaka. Therefore, the treatises of the Asanga brothers... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
