As stated in Poto's notes: 'During the time of listening and thinking, analyze with reason; during the time of practice, they say only practice non-conceptuality.' For the sake of practicing unrelated samadhi, it will not become an antidote to obscurations.' You are using this as a basis, right? If you speak of the faults of only practicing non-conceptuality in the equipoise of the path of seeing and meditation, then the scriptures and pith instructions will all become useless. These words of Poto are spoken to those scholars who have long studied the scriptures, but during practice, practice pith instructions unrelated to what they have previously learned. Repeatedly thinking, measuring, and determining, these words mean that thought and conceptuality are listening and thinking, or preliminary and subsequent.' The Noble One and Senge Sangpo said so. This is the seventh chapter on pacifying the confusion of the state of calm abiding and insight. This is a verse for pacifying the confusion about the tenets of the author of Pramāṇavārttika, the eighth chapter. Homage to the Lord of Speech (Manjushri, Tibetan: རྒྱལ་བ་ངག་གི་དབང་ཕྱུག་, Jiawa Ngagi Wangchuk, Victorious Speech Empowerment)! The statement that the Pramāṇavārttika of glorious Dharmakīrti (Tibetan: ཆོས་གྲགས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्मकीर्ति, Sanskrit Romanization: Dharmakīrti, Chinese literal meaning: Fame of Dharma) is the Dharma of the realists should be abandoned. The so-called realist means that if one acknowledges that permanent things are always true, then one does not speak of the antidote to clinging to truth. The author of Pramāṇavārttika does not accept this view. Why? Because things are pervaded by impermanence, and he explains the meaning of not having impermanence. In most of the Yogācāra texts, it is said that unconditioned phenomena and the Dharmakāya are permanent, but this refers to the continuity of permanence. Even the things that are said to be permanent, the author of Pramāṇavārttika also explains the principle of momentary impermanence. In short, what else needs to be said about the author of Pramāṇavārttika using the reasoning of one and different, separation from one? No matter how many grasper and grasped are unreal, and the principle that things are pervaded by impermanence, even conditioned phenomena and permanent things, are explained as being destroyed in an instant. If so, things will be pervaded by non-existence, because impermanence is non-existence. The boundary between things and impermanence lies in whether or not they have been analyzed. Things are manifest, while impermanence is hidden. The pervasiveness of impermanence in things is also a very subtle analysis, and if there is no basis, even a moment does not exist, which is the same as saying that things do not exist. If analyzed with reason, the nature of things does not exist at all, the essence of Pramāṇavārttika --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

‘Without inherent existence,’ what difference is there with a text of speech? Both Ornament and Shantideva, think of the Treatise on Valid Cognition in that way. These are the words of Ngok Lotsawa Chenpo. Phya pa's Treatise on Valid Cognition, like the master Chandrakirti, says that the conventional truth is the usual behavior. They say it abides in the Madhyamaka nature. Those who speak of ‘without inherent existence,’ and the masters who open up the great tradition of the Yogachara treatises, their tenets are not confused with each other. Although it does not exist in the face of reasoning that examines the wisdom of hearing and thinking non-duality, it is the ultimate truth because it is the object of experience of the wisdom arising from meditative equipoise. Jikme Chokyi Drakpa, when abiding on the ground of accomplishment, does not necessarily have to enter the tenet of ‘without inherent existence.’ This is the eighth chapter, a verse made to dispel the confusion in speaking about the tradition of the Treatise on Valid Cognition. This is the ninth chapter, to dispel the false imputation of the meaning of the Treatise of the Abbot of Engaging in Bodhisattva Deeds. Having prostrated to the Victorious Lord of Speech (རྒྱལ་བ་ངག་གི་དབང་ཕྱུག་,梵文:Jina Vagisvara,IAST: Jina Vagisvara, Meaning: Victorious Lord of Speech), here I will honestly examine some of the false imputations of the meaning of Engaging in Bodhisattva Deeds. Some later famous ones say that in the observance of the Bodhisattva vows, there is no difference between the tenets of Asanga and Shantideva. If so, in Asanga's treatises, abandoning the mind of aspiration for enlightenment is said to be a root downfall, because Shantideva also says so there. Others say that if the ultimate is not an object of mind, it contradicts scripture and reason. If so, what is the nature of the ultimate? If it is said to be ‘empty of true nature,’ then a non-conceptual mind that takes the exclusion of others as its object is impossible, and whatever is the object of sound and concept contradicts the ultimate truth. Therefore, since there is no mind that can withstand reasoning, there is no other dharma other than the conventional. Therefore, all minds are definitely conventional. Isn't it explained as two truths? If you say so, then it cannot be denied that in this treatise emptiness is said to be false. If it is false, it contradicts the ultimate truth. When explaining how the difference in the wisdom of the higher yogas harms the lower, they say that the selflessness of the Hearers, Mind-Only, and Svatantrika does not work. Because in those tenets, the path to liberation is not definitely shown, it should not be the Buddha's teaching, and it will contradict the four seals. There are two ultimate truths, the yogi and the worldly. Yogis also think that the lower is true because of the difference in wisdom, but it cannot be examined by the reasoning of the higher. Then the ultimate truth of the lower, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
