In an instant, it is completely covered by clouds of Samantabhadra's (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good) offerings. Not being discouraged by countless eons means not becoming weary of practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva (བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ།, बोधिसत्त्व, Bodhisattva, Enlightenment Being) for that long period of time. Accomplishing the aspiration completely. Third, accomplishing the aspiration: accomplishing completely. By whom? By me. Where? In all the particular aspirations of the Buddhas (རྒྱལ་བ།, बुद्ध, Buddha, Awakened One) who have gone to the three times for the sake of Bodhi (བྱང་ཆུབ།, बोधि, Bodhi, Enlightenment). All of them, without exception. How? Like Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good), attaining Buddhahood (སངས་རྒྱས།, बुद्धत्व, Buddhatva, Buddhahood) in unsurpassed Bodhi (བྱང་ཆུབ།, बोधि, Bodhi, Enlightenment). Here, 'these,' 'all,' and 'without exception' are mutually explanatory. Aspiration stated concisely. Second, stating the aspiration concisely, there are two: aspiring to be like Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good), and aspiring to be like Manjushri (འཇམ་དཔལ།, मञ्जुश्री, Mañjuśrī, Gentle Glory). Aspiring to be like Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good). The first is further divided into two: explaining extensively and explaining that itself. The first is: completely dedicate. Dedicate what? All these virtues of prostration and so on mentioned above. For what purpose? In order to practice like that wise one named Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good). How is that? He is the foremost son of all the Buddhas (རྒྱལ་བ།, बुद्ध, Buddha, Awakened One). Why is he called by that name? Because all the Buddhas (སངས་རྒྱས།, बुद्ध, Buddha, Awakened One) have named him Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good). The reason for giving that name is: because the mandala (དཀྱིལ་འཁོར།, मण्डल, Mandala, Circle) of the retinue in which that Bodhisattva (བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ།, बोधिसत्त्व, Bodhisattva, Enlightenment Being) is present is good and beautiful. What is the reason for being the foremost son of all? In those Sutras (མདོ་སྡེ།, सूत्र, Sūtra, Thread), two types of Bodhisattvas (བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ།, बोधिसत्त्व, Bodhisattva, Enlightenment Being) are explained: those with great desire and those without. The first is: wishing to quickly attain Buddhahood (སངས་རྒྱས།, बुद्धत्व, Buddhatva, Buddhahood) and benefit sentient beings. Among them, the one who first generated the mind of Bodhi (བྱང་ཆུབ།, बोधि, Bodhi, Enlightenment) is the noble Maitreya (བྱམས་པ།, मैत्रेय, Maitreya, Loving One). The second, those without great desire, is: vowing not to attain Buddhahood (སངས་རྒྱས།, बुद्धत्व, Buddhatva, Buddhahood) until all sentient beings are liberated from Samsara (འཁོར་བ།, संसार, Saṃsāra, Wandering), but to benefit sentient beings as a Bodhisattva (བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ།, बोधिसत्त्व, Bodhisattva, Enlightenment Being). Among them, the one who first generated the mind of Bodhi (བྱང་ཆུབ།, बोधि, Bodhi, Enlightenment) is the Bodhisattva (བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ།, बोधिसत्त्व, Bodhisattva, Enlightenment Being) Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good). Therefore, these two are called the foremost sons of the Buddhas (རྒྱལ་བ།, बुद्ध, Buddha, Awakened One). This is according to the commentary by the teacher Shakya Shenyen. The second is: then, what is the manner of being similar to him? The wise Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།, समन्तभद्र, Samantabhadra, All-Good), his body, speech, and mind are completely pure. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Through these causes and conditions, may my conduct be utterly pure; through these causes and conditions, may I make excellent aspirations to purify all realms. May I become just like them. In short, dedicating the purification of body, speech, and mind to the cause of pure realms is the dedication of the wise Samantabhadra (普贤, Pǔxián, Universal Worthy). Furthermore, in the extremely extensive Sutra, it is said: 'The Bodhisattva Samantabhadra enters the ocean of Tathagata's (如来, Rúlái, Thus Come One) qualities with immeasurable forms of liberation. Thus, purifying the Buddha-fields and ultimately accomplishing the taming of beings is called liberation. Going to the feet of all the Tathagatas is called liberation, for it is the source of all collections of qualities. The arising of Bodhisattvas abiding in vows throughout all the stages is called liberation. Filling all Buddhas with endless clouds of my body's dust from all doors into the Dharmadhatu (法界, Fǎjiè, Dharma Realm) is called liberation. The blessing of proclaiming one's name in all fields with inconceivable wheels is called liberation. Perfectly showing the realm and transformations of Bodhisattvas, without beginning or end, in the pores of all extremely fine dust particles is called liberation. Showing the kalpas (劫, jié, eon) of the three times in a single instant, arising and ceasing freely, is called liberation. Perfectly showing all Bodhisattvas entering each other's realms of sensory faculties is called liberation. The blessing of transforming and expanding one's body in the Dharmadhatu, which has no beginning or end, is called liberation. Here, the Bodhisattva shows the benefits of all dharmas (法, fǎ, dharma) with great teachings, entering the state of omniscience, is liberation.' Wishing to be like Manjushri (文殊, Wénshū, Gentle Glory): Secondly, dedicating oneself to be like Manjushri. Why? Because it is to practice goodness in all ways, from beginning to end. What is his aspiration like? When the noble Manjushri became the king named 'Space,' he benefited limitless sentient beings with his supremely beautiful and pleasing form. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
