Thus, with one verse, both the benefits of meditation and recitation are shown. With two lines such as 'The mandala of the Victorious Ones,' it shows both the fruit of being the master, which is being born in Sukhavati (the Pure Land of Bliss), and the fruit of the similar cause, which is benefiting sentient beings. Thus, the explanation of this King of Prayers, which is the nature of sixty-one verses, is completely accomplished. From the ocean of the Kuntuzangpo's Prayer, having arisen with a draught of wisdom, and generously given the burden of fulfilling the wishes of others, may this become the nectar of near nourishment for all beings! This, at the top of the Dharma banner, in the delightful palace of merit, under the cool shade of the wish-fulfilling tree, is the place of dwelling and practice. By this virtue, may the landholder, together with his ministers, be free from harm from others, be filled with the prosperity of samsara and nirvana, and may his crown be more powerful than before! This extensive commentary, extracted from the Great Vaipulya Buddha Avatamsaka Sutra, called 'The Great Explanation of the King of Noble Kuntuzangpo's Conduct and Prayers,' also known as 'The Entrance to the Ocean of Faith,' was composed at the request of Mi-wang Sa-skyong chen-po Nam-mkha' rGyal-mtshan dPal-bzang-po. By the learned bhikshu, Pal Shakya Chokden Drimed Lekpai Lo, born in the Uru Jang region, in the Wood Dog year (rNam-'phyang), on the eighth day of the waxing moon of the eighth month, it was completed in the Lhakhang of Chokor Tsem Monastery, the center of the source of wisdom in Phan-yul. The scribe was Geshe Chos-kyi rGyal-mtshan. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
