In the 'Essence of Merit', as shown in the 'King of Aspiration Prayers of Samantabhadra's Conduct', there are two verses, explained as follows: Dedicating the aspirations made by others to complete fulfillment. Secondly, dedicating the aspirations made by others to complete fulfillment is divided into two: dedicating the aspirations of the 'King of Aspiration Prayers of Samantabhadra's Conduct' made by sentient beings to complete fulfillment, and dedicating the aspirations of Bodhi conduct to complete fulfillment. The first is: May it be attained! What is attained? All the virtues of the 'King of Aspiration Prayers of Samantabhadra's Conduct' aspirations of other beings, that is, all the virtues without fault. When is it attained? Even in a single instant. If it says 'by one', then this agent's word does not match the meaning, so it is not good to translate it this way. What is the cause? By the 'King of Aspiration Prayers of Samantabhadra's Conduct'. Whatever small virtue I have accumulated, I dedicate it all. The second is: May the realm of Amitabha (Skt: Amitābha) be attained! Who attains it? Sentient beings drowning in the river of suffering. What is the cause? Because of dedicating this 'King of Aspiration Prayers of Samantabhadra's Conduct', the infinite and supreme merit that is obtained. Here, the 'realm of Amitabha' if explained as his pure land, would be a repetition of the previous text, so it is best explained as aspiring to attain the state of that Victor. The verse 'King of Aspiration Prayers' etc. was created by Tibetans, and because it is easy to understand, it has not been explained. Making sure that the dedicated merit is not wasted. Having explained the words and meanings in detail, if you want to explain the difference between different ways of summarizing, it is: the way of summarizing mentioned at the beginning of explaining the words and meanings is the same as the way of explaining by masters Nāgārjuna and Vasubandhu, and most commentators such as Śāntideva, so it is quoted here. In the section explaining the words and meanings, it can be summarized as: merit etc., making aspirations, the benefits of making aspirations, dedicating the merit of making aspirations, a total of four points. In the second point, it can be summarized as: after generating Bodhicitta, doing the three things of maturing, liberating, and purifying, and then aspiring to manifest the qualities of the Buddha. In the first point, it can be divided into: the Bodhisattva who first generates the mind, after generating the mind, does not regress; the Bodhisattva who enters practice, takes rebirth in Samsara and matures sentient beings; the Bodhisattva who does not regress, completes the aspirations; and incidentally, like Samantabhadra and Mañjuśrī, always remains young. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Explaining by compiling all aspirations is something I have composed after examining it with my own conceptual thoughts. According to the commentaries by the commentators of the Yoga Tantra and Śākya Bśes-gñen, it is said that this aspiration reveals three points: the Puṭgala (person) who is the basis, along with the means; the method of practice, along with the benefits; and the benefits of merely reciting it. The first point includes the means and the Puṭgala who is the basis. The first point further includes the roots of virtue and not wasting time. The first point is from 'As many as' (Ji snyed su dag) to 'urge to turn the wheel' (bsKor bar bskul gyi bar ro). The second point includes dedication and aspiration. The first point is 'I prostrate to all' (Phyag 'tshal ba dang) and so on, one verse. The second point is from 'Dedication' (Phyir bsngo'o zhes) to 'past Buddhas' ('Das pa'i sangs rgyas), where it says: 'I will follow all the Buddhas, accomplish the most excellent good deeds, cultivate the completely pure wisdom conduct, and attain the ultimate Bodhi conduct.' This summarizes the meaning of all aspirations. Among them, the first line of the verse explains the nature of the aspiration itself; the second line of the verse explains the state of practicing with faith; the third line of the verse explains the stages of the ten bhūmis; the fourth line of the verse explains the Samantabhadra (Kuntu Zangpo) bhūmi. The difference between wisdom conduct and Bodhi conduct is that the former is the practice of the ten bhūmis, and the latter is the practice of the Buddha bhūmi. Second, regarding the Puṭgala who is the basis, it includes the state of practicing with faith and the state of having pure intention. The first point is that 'past Buddhas' ('Das pa'i sangs rgyas rnams dang) and so on, three verses, summarize the cause and effect of generating Bodhicitta in future lives. The second point is that 'all directions' (Gyang yang phyogs bcu'i) and so on, eight verses, explain this. Third, regarding the benefits of reciting this aspiration, it includes dedicating to learn from Bodhisattvas, dedicating to learn from Tathāgatas, perfecting the Pāramitās, dedicating to obtain favorable circumstances, and dedicating to benefit sentient beings during the time of the world's existence, which are explained in order by 'Mañjuśrī the hero' ('Jam dpal dpa' bos) and so on, one verse, 'Buddhas of the three times' (Dus gsum gshegs pa'i) and so on, one verse, 'When I am about to die' (bDag ni 'chi ba'i) and so on, one verse, and 'After going there' (Der song nas ni) and so on, one verse. Then, 'By reciting the aspiration of good conduct' (De nas bzang po spyod pa'i smon lam bton pa yis) and so on, one verse, explains the complete dedication of the merit of reciting. Any dedication of this good conduct aspiration... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
