In short, the eight shlokas beginning with 'on one dust particle' summarize all the meanings of showing the ocean of world realms arising from the Avatamsaka Buddha.", "Secondly, there are three ways to accomplish it: accomplishing through power, accomplishing through antidote, and accomplishing through action. The first is: 'Truly accomplishing' is the basis of what is being said. Where? 'The powers of Bodhi', which are the power and might of unsurpassed Bodhi. That is also with the three kayas and activities. Or, that is called 'that' for the power and might of its measure. How is it accomplished? With ten kinds of powers. What are they? 'The power of all-pervading swift miraculous power', which is the ability to go to all ten directions simultaneously in an instant. Having gone there, with the power of miraculous power that can show miracles that captivate the minds of each sentient being; and 'the vehicle of all doors', which is the name of the Great Vehicle. Why is it called 'all doors'? Because the door benefits others in every way. This is just like the Sutra of the Holy Pure Conduct Realm. 'The power of all qualities', which is virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end. 'The power of conduct', which includes both the conduct of Bodhi and the conduct of the excellent, because the power of conduct is mentioned in general. 'All-pervading loving-kindness', which is the desire for all sentient beings to be happy.", "'All-good merit' is called all-good because it pervades all sentient beings with the mind of benefit and happiness, or because it purifies and cleanses, it is merit. Therefore, because it has been well accumulated, it is called merit. The basis is the three kinds of merit arising from generosity, etc. 'Power' is that which cannot be suppressed by opposing forces, arising from the power of meditating on the mind of Bodhi. As it is also said: 'Whatever merit of the mind of Bodhi, if it had form, filling all the space of the sky, it would be even greater than that.' So it is said. 'The power of wisdom without attachment', which is the wisdom that pacifies proliferation, the wisdom that is free from attachment and obstruction.

'Method' refers to the key to achieving certain desires, here referring to things like the generation of Bodhicitta in the Mahayana. Since this method must be accomplished through wisdom, it is called 'the union of method and wisdom.' 'Samadhi' refers to the mind being one-pointed on its object; when it becomes capable and powerful, it is called its 'power.' In short, these ten are called 'the power of the measure of Bodhi,' which is a brief summary. Alternatively, these ten accomplish the power of Bodhi, and thus are explained in the sense of being the agent. Second, accomplishment through antidotes, which are of two types: abandoning the three things to be abandoned and relying on one antidote. The first is: completely purifying the powers of karma that are associated with defilements; destroying the power of afflictions that make the mind-stream untamed; and eliminating the power of the aggregates, the Lord of Death, and the Mara of the Sons of the Gods—these three. The second is: So, through what antidote are these done? It is through the power of the practice of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, which is the power of perfect completion. Third, accomplishment through action: the eight types of actions of a Bodhisattva are: 'Purifying all realms like the ocean,' until making the realm where one attains Buddhahood like Sukhavati and Lotus Adorned. 'Liberating beings like the ocean,' is through teaching the Dharma by way of the three kinds of miracles. 'Clearly seeing all Dharmas like the ocean,' refers to, for the Dharmas to be obtained, such as the powers, and the Dharmas to be explained, such as the twelve divisions of scripture, being able to see them in an instant with the eye of wisdom. 'Wisdom like the ocean' refers to realizing and comprehending the infinite wisdom from the path of seeing to the ground of Buddhahood, and making it complete. 'Conduct like the ocean' refers to Bodhisattva conduct and Samantabhadra's conduct; when there is no specific distinction, both should be included. What is the difference between these two? In the commentary, it says: 'Bodhisattva conduct is accomplishing the Dharmas of the Buddhas, it is the accumulation of wisdom. Samantabhadra's conduct is bringing benefit and happiness to all beings, it is the accumulation of merit.' 'Aspiration like the ocean' refers to the ten great aspirations, etc., countless hundreds of thousands of aspirations. 'Making them completely perfect' is through the power of Samadhi and wisdom, etc. 'Worshipping the Buddhas like the ocean' refers to offering to all the Buddhas with body, speech, and mind in all times—past, present, and future. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
