'Nato! When they have perfected the ground of causes, may their conduct not be limited!' These two verses explain the state of Samantabhadra's practice. The first verse reveals that the fruit of the accumulation of merit in the ten bhumis of cause is vast. The latter verse reveals that even at the time of non-abiding nirvana, its merits are inexhaustible. Secondly, regarding the order of practice and its benefits, there are two types: extensive explanation of benefits and brief indication of benefits. First, there is the extensive explanation of benefits, which is further divided into the benefits of this life and the benefits of future lives. First, there are the benefits of this life, which are further divided into four types of benefits and the benefits of power. The third benefit is: I will observe. How long will I observe? Only for a moment. Where will I observe? I will observe the lions of the Buddhas of the past, present, and future. On one atom, there are as many Buddha lands as there are atoms, and in those Buddha lands, on a hair's breadth of land, dwell Buddhas equal to the amount of time in the three times. After observing them, what will I do? I will constantly enter the realm of the Buddhas, that is, the realm of those Buddhas just mentioned. By what power? By the power of illusory liberation. This refers to the power of illusion arising from the vows of Samantabhadra's practice. If someone thinks like this: 'This aspiration of the Bodhisattva is impossible to realize, because it is impossible to contain so many Buddha lands within the scope of one atom, and it is impossible to show the length of a kalpa in one moment, because the time of one moment cannot contain the time of a kalpa.' Then, with the power of illusory liberation of unpolluted wisdom, one can transform and change at will, because the power of wisdom is inconceivable. For example, in a very clear water container, all the decorations of the sky, such as stars, can be seen. Similarly, one moment can also show the length of a kalpa, because the wisdom of one moment can know the things that happen in sequence in a kalpa in accordance with the order of occurrence. After entering such a state, one can purify the future immeasurable Buddha lands. Secondly, regarding the purification of future Buddha lands, it is divided into how to purify and by what power one can purify. First, how to purify is divided into three aspects: truly purifying the Buddha land, showing the activities of becoming a Buddha in the Buddha land through magical powers, and pervading all Buddha lands. First, truly purifying the Buddha land: whether in the past, present, or future. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I shall manifest as many arrangements as there are grains of dust upon a single grain of dust. Just as it is manifested upon a single grain of dust, in all directions without exception, without interruption, arranging it as the arrangements of all the Buddha-fields of the Victorious Ones, and then I shall enter into the Teacher (Buddha). Secondly, let alone being able to show the deeds of the Buddhas of the past and present by the power of miraculous abilities, as for as many future lamps of the world as will appear, from their dwelling in the Joyful realm, to gradually becoming Buddhas, turning the wheel of Dharma, and passing into Nirvana, up to the edge of perfect peace, they are shown in an instant in the manner of images. Thirdly, I go to the presence of all the Buddhas, the protectors of the three times. How do I go? By the power of miraculous abilities. Why do I go? In order to make offerings to them. What is the need for that? In order to purify the ocean of realms where I myself will become a Buddha. If one thinks that in all ten directions, it is impossible to place as many Buddha-fields as there are grains of dust on each uninterrupted chain of dust, without mixing them, because even on a single grain of dust, there is not enough room for even the size of a vessel, then that fault does not exist, because all phenomena are without intrinsic nature, and are pure by their very nature. For example, a magician can transform a small pebble or twig into mansions, horses, elephants, and so on. These meanings also come from the very extensive scriptures, such as the Buddha-field in the Avatamsaka Sutra called 'Vairochana Great Snow Ocean', whose basis and essence are adorned with flowers. In each of these, there are as many Buddhas with their sons as there are countless atoms. Bodhisattva Samantabhadra also dwells in front of them in as many forms, beholding them, making offerings to them, and practicing the vast conduct of a Bodhisattva. The need for this is for Samantabhadra himself to purify his future Buddha-field. Those fields that exist there, and all the oceans of realms that have appeared and will appear in the kalpas of the three times, are shown in a single instant by the emanations of Samantabhadra, and all of that is like an illusion. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
