It is said that selflessness is equality in order to eliminate the conceptual elaborations of permanence. 'No mind on mind' means that the mind itself is empty. According to the appearance of falsehood, it explains that on the mind of the imputed, there is no mind of the completely established. In order to prove that the knowledge of self-awareness is not true, it is necessary to state the desired. There are two parts: stating the desired and refuting it. The first is: The yogis who believe that only the wisdom of non-duality is the ultimate truth, by making their own mind - the alaya consciousness - the master, believe that the state or habit that exists on it is completely transformed, and the pure mind or the wisdom that each knows by itself is the only one that truly exists. They say so. Refuting the view of Alaya. There are two parts: refuting the view of Alaya, and refuting that non-dual wisdom is not empty in nature. The first part has two parts: refuting the view of the Mind-Only school on Alaya, and explaining how the Madhyamaka school accepts Alaya in its own system. The first part has two parts: it is unreasonable for the habits on Alaya to be transformed, and it is unreasonable for Alaya to be the place of habits. The first part is: the wisdom of transformation is not true, because the past state or habit does not exist on Alaya; the future has not yet been born, so it cannot be obtained; the present is existing, so it is transforming. For the present, how can transformation exist? Because it does not exist. The second part is: Alaya consciousness is not the basis of other contaminated dharmas, because Alaya consciousness is a nature without self-nature. For example, if there is no container, there will be no tree attached to it. The reason is established, because the habits on Alaya are not as they appear to the six consciousnesses; what appears to the six consciousnesses is not as it exists on Alaya. Otherwise, the seed should be able to appear to the entering consciousness, and the non-seed should also be able to be enjoyed by the entering consciousness. The meaning of the words is: Alaya consciousness, is not the basis of food, because it does not depend on you. The second explanation is: 'Consciousness is selfless in nature', which means taking the clear mind of emptiness as the subject, which is free from the two selves. 'No other consciousness as a basis' means that there is no other consciousness as a basis, that is, other consciousnesses --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Making things that do not rely on self-nature as the Dharma to be proven. If the first two lines of the verse are combined, things will appear as their image habits. For the blind, there is no need for images, because it is impossible for the habits of things that have never been experienced to exist on consciousness. In short, the Yogācāra school believes that the seed part of the Ālayavijñāna belongs to non-corresponding formations, so it is not considered real. Although they believe that the part of clear awareness is truly established, they do not admit that it is a different entity from the six consciousnesses, because they believe that all grasping aspects of consciousness are the same thing. Second, if the scriptures also use the teachings that explain the Ālayavijñāna to explain, then what does it explain? The answer is two points: the nature of the mind is luminosity, although its nature is emptiness, it must be admitted as the conventional truth of Ālayavijñāna by explaining with examples of non-emptiness. Although it is not consciousness, it always exists as consciousness when it depends on the body. The first point is: just like when a magnet is close to iron, the iron will quickly rotate, although the iron has no mind, it will appear as if it has a mind. Similarly, called Ālayavijñāna, the nature of the mind is luminosity, although its nature is nominally emptiness, not the ultimate truth, but when it is close to the body, it will experience birth, dwelling, and cessation like the ultimate truth, and because the body it depends on will move, it also holds the existence of the body. The meaning of this passage is that luminosity is the Dharma, although it is not the birth, dwelling, and cessation of seeds, but when the seed holds the body, it is called Ālayavijñāna, because it holds existence, and the body also holds it first. The second point is: just like the ocean has no mind, but it will fluctuate, called Ālayavijñāna, the nature of the mind is luminosity, although it does not have all the characteristics of the mind, but the body guided by it depends on it, so it fluctuates in the three realms. When it fluctuates there, relying on the body and senses, the six consciousnesses will arise, and self-grasping will arise. Therefore, it is called Ālayavijñāna. The Yogācāra school believes that even without a body that accumulates suffering, the Ālayavijñāna is like the empty central channel, its nature... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
