Refutation by the sign of capacity, and refutation by the sign that contradicts permanence and things. The first is: the object 'self' imputed by self-grasping, as the subject to be proven, does not exist as a thing in either the external or internal. Because if it is asserted to be permanent, it is not possible to perform functions sequentially or simultaneously. If it is capable of performing functions, then that 'self', as the subject to be proven, will produce the result simultaneously, because it produces the result whether or not it relies on conditions. This is an admitted reason. Whatever performs functions from other things is not a combination of permanence and capacity. The second is: if the 'self' is considered a thing, then it must not be permanent, because all things are momentary. That sign has already been proven above by the sign that prevents permanence from performing functions. If there is no 'self', then it cannot be the creator of the world. To this, it can be answered that a world without a 'self' and a person Person) etc., as the subject to be proven, is not without a creator in name, because there is no prohibition against impermanent things being creators. As it is said: 'All beings are born from karma.' This is in accordance with the above view. Second, refuting the 'self' of phenomena is divided into two aspects: doctrine and explanation. First, the aggregates (Sanskrit: skandha), the elements (Sanskrit: dhatu), the sources (Sanskrit: ayatana), the grasped and the grasper, will be destroyed by wisdom. The second part is divided into three aspects: from the perspective of the Hearers (Sanskrit: Hinayana), the way in which the three dharmas are said to exist by their own nature; from the perspective of the Bodhisattvas (Sanskrit: Mahayana), the way in which the three dharmas are said to appear but have no own nature; and a detailed explanation of the reasoning that refutes the existence of the three dharmas by their own nature. Refuting the 'self' of phenomena. From the perspective of the Hearers, the way in which the three dharmas are said to exist by their own nature. First, if the three dharmas can be destroyed by wisdom, then this contradicts the sutras that say the three dharmas exist. To this, the answer is: it is not so. In order to benefit beings, the Buddhas have spoken of the five aggregates: form (Sanskrit: rupa), feeling (Sanskrit: vedana), perception (Sanskrit: samjna), formation (Sanskrit: samskara), and consciousness (Sanskrit: vijnana), in this way, to the Hearers, saying that the five aggregates exist by their own nature. But here, it is necessary to explain from the perspective of the Great Vehicle. From the perspective of the Bodhisattvas, the way in which the three dharmas are said to appear but have no own nature. Second, here, we admit that the five aggregates are not established by their own nature. The supreme of two-legged beings (referring to the Buddha) always, certainly, form... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Appearing like a bursting bubble, feeling like bubbles on water, cognition resembling a mirage, action akin to a banana tree, and consciousness like an illusion—thus revealing the selflessness of the five aggregates. This is for the sake of explaining to Bodhichitta beings. Elaborating extensively on the reasoning that refutes the inherent existence of the three dharmas. The third part elaborates on establishing the individual characteristics of the three dharmas and the reasoning that refutes their inherent existence. Establishing the individual characteristics of the three dharmas. Firstly, 'The nature of the four great elements is thoroughly explained as the aggregate of form.' Thus, the aggregate of form is established. And the remaining phenomena are established as formless aggregates. The proof for this is, 'Because if it doesn't exist, it doesn't arise,' meaning that without the aspect of experience, feeling and so on do not arise. The explanation of the characteristics of the aggregates can represent the eighteen realms such as the eye and the form realm, and what is explained in the eighteen realms should also be understood as the twelve sources, as well as the grasper and the grasped. The reasoning that establishes the non-existence of external objects The second part has three points: the reasoning that establishes the non-existence of external objects, the reasoning that establishes the non-existence of self-awareness, and the reasoning that establishes the non-existence of mere mind in general. The first part has three points: the teaching, the explanation, and the refutation of arguments, thereby establishing the non-existence of external objects. Firstly, the proponent of objects says: External objects exist because the consciousness that perceives objects sometimes arises. The atom of form is the subject, it is not the cause of generating sense consciousness because it is beyond the senses, i.e., it is not perceived by valid cognition. The second part is divided into: gross is not reasonable, and subtle particles are not reasonable. Firstly, the collection of many particles is the cause of generating sense consciousness. Then, the collection is also the subject, it is not accepted to exist because it is not perceived when examined by the discriminating wisdom. The second point is that even if it is not perceived, the atom cannot be destroyed by the mind, but it is not so, through the division of the ten directions, the division of parts can also be seen on the atom. How can that which is divided by parts be considered an atom? Because it is not perceived. The third point is that if external objects do not exist, then the consciousness that is not immediately corrupted by the cause of error is contradictory. If it appears as an object --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
