But that is not seen. Then, are the dream eye and the day eye one or two? If it is one, If you dreamed that your eyes were blind in last night's dream, then this eye of the daytime today should also be blind, but that is not the case. This eye of the daytime today is blind. If it exists, the eye in last night's dream saw all kinds of different things, but this eye of the daytime today has not seen a single thing. Or if you think it is different, there are three hundred and sixty days in a year, three hundred and sixty nights, a total of seven hundred and twenty days and nights, Then there should also be seven hundred and twenty eyes. If it exists, then all the eyes from beginningless time until now, either stacked on top of each other like stacked palm leaves, or stacked inside and outside like many layers of bark. If it exists, it should be seen by the obvious eye, truly grasped by the hand, and should appear in the sensory gate, but that is not the case. So if you think that my eyes are blind and I will not see things in the future, you first think that it is my eyes that see things, in the middle you think that my eyes are blind so I cannot see things, and in the end it is just the illusion of not seeing things that arises. Today's daytime Even though there is someone who sees all kinds of things in dreams when the eyes are closed and sleeping, this eye of the daytime today has not perceived a single thing. Similarly, in the intermediate state and future times, even if the present body and corpse are abandoned and die, the seer in the intermediate state and future times is only one's own mind, the self-nature of the primordially existent awareness seeing itself, and this bubble-like eye has not seen a single thing. Therefore, the Bhagavan said: The eye's consciousness is boundless. And so on. Not. Similarly, if you think that there is an independently existing entity on the basis of the ear, The ear is also like that, the tube is only called a tube, not an ear. The skin is only called skin.

An ear does not arise from flesh, an ear does not arise from flesh called flesh, an ear does not arise from sinews called sinews, an ear does not arise from blood called blood, an ear does not arise from serum called serum. Merely uttering their respective names does not make them an ear. Thus, separate things cannot be called an ear. If you think that it is called an ear when they are gathered together, then cut off the ear of an animal, grind it into powder, grind the powder into fine dust, break down the fine dust until it is indivisible, and even if you show it to the people of Jambudvipa in the south, you can only say it is dust, not an ear. Similarly, mud mixed with water can only be called mud, not an ear. If you think that it is called an ear because it can hear sounds, then take the ears of many dead animals and place them in the ear hole of a deaf animal, it should be able to hear sounds, but in reality, it does not hear. So, are the ear of the day and the ear of the dream one or two? If it is one, then if you dreamed last night that your ear was deaf, then this ear of the day should also be deaf, but that is not the case. If this ear of the day is deaf, then even if you heard various sounds in a dream last night, this ear of the day has never heard any sound. Or, if you think they are different, then in one year there are three hundred and sixty days and three hundred and sixty nights. There are a total of seven hundred and twenty days and nights, so there should be seven hundred and twenty ears. If they exist, then from beginningless time until now, these ears should either be stacked on top of each other like stacked palm leaves, or stacked inside and out like many layers of bark. If they exist, they should be visible to the naked eye, able to be touched by hand, and manifest in the sensory gates, but that is not the case. So, if you think that my ear is deaf and I will not hear sounds in the future, then you first think that it is my ear that hears sounds, then you think that my ear is deaf and cannot hear sounds, and in the end, it is just an illusion of not hearing sounds that arises, rather than there being something that hears sounds in a dream when you close your eyes and sleep during the day today.
