Thus, the appearance of the eight consciousnesses arises according to the law, causing samsara to fully expand. Also, the intermediate of the alaya consciousness reverses according to the law, causing it to perish at the peak of existence. Therefore, all phenomena of appearance, existence, samsara, and nirvana are not different from the ground itself, but are of one taste in the ground itself. For example, various images of the sun, moon, and stars appear in the ocean, but in reality, they are of one taste in the nature of water. You should understand it like that. All appearances are self-nature. Om! The instruction of Vajradhara, who shows the appearance. Having said this, he disappeared into invisibility. Again, once, when I met the great vidyadhara Humchen Kara, I asked, "What is the arrangement of appearances like?" He replied, "O great being, the five sense consciousnesses are like the sky, capable of expanding in any direction. Conceptual thought is like the material mantra of illusion. When these two come together, the arrangement of appearances arises like an illusion. The consciousness of appropriation is like a magician. Therefore, all offerings and gifts are like the material of illusion, and having purified them into emptiness with purifying mantras, then with expanding mantras, the field of offering and giving, whatever it may be, is made to spread immeasurable desirable appearances to the objects of the six senses, making them pleased. This is the door of yoga like illusion. Also, through yoga like illusion, arranging a field of appearance like a city of gandharvas for beings like emanations, and liberating and guiding them through dream-like object transformation, one gains mastery over the great yoga of illusion. Just as the sun, moon, and stars are many in the ocean, yet bound by water itself, and just as the containers and contents are many, yet bound by one sky, and just as the appearances of samsara and nirvana are vast and numerous, one should observe how they are bound by one mind-essence. The mind-essence, called the Sugata-garbha, is immaculate and undefiled. For example, even if there could be a Buddha filling the sky, it would be immaculate because there is no object to be benefited by its wisdom and qualities. Even if there could be as many self-continuum beings as the extent of the sky, it would be immaculate because there is no object to be harmed. The ground dharmakaya, the Sugata-garbha, is separated from all places of birth, abodes, and lords, therefore it is separated from the limit of birth.

. Having transcended the time and master of cessation, it is free from the extreme of cessation. Not falling into the category of existent things, and not even visible to the eyes of the Buddhas, it is free from the extreme of permanence. Not becoming utter nothingness, but becoming the common basis of samsara and nirvana, it is free from the extreme of annihilation. Having transcended all the abodes and masters of beings, it is free from the extreme of going. Since the abode and master of coming have not been established, it is free from the extreme of coming. In the expanse of the ground, the Tathagatagarbha, all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana appear distinctly like stars in the ocean, so it is free from the extreme of oneness. No matter how the appearances of samsara and nirvana arise, just as the stars in the ocean are not different from the ocean, they become one taste in the ground, the Tathagatagarbha itself, so it is free from the extreme of difference. Since it does not fall into any of the eight extremes of elaboration, it is primordially pure and unstained by faults. Furthermore, since it transcends above, below, directions, boundaries, intermediate spaces, and time, it is emptiness. Since it pervades everything and is completely expansive, it is emptiness. Since all outer appearances do not have true characteristics or true existence, it is outer emptiness. Since the inner self-mind transcends all foundations, it is inner emptiness. In between, since it does not differentiate between the grasper and the grasped, it is great expansive pervasion, the emptiness without abandonment, which is the door of liberation, emptiness itself. The ground's Dharmakaya The Tathagatagarbha is free from characteristics that can be expressed in words. It transcends the equality of examples. It is empty of things that can be indicated by meaning, which is the door of liberation, absence of characteristics. The Dharmata Tathagatagarbha, the Sugata in the three times, if one thinks that merely by the virtuous actions of body and speech, the result will go and be liberated in another realm, then thinking that the pervasive and vast environment of space is the place of going and coming and the master is extremely inverted and the mind is deluded. What is the path? It is precisely grasping one's own place on oneself. What is realization? It is precisely knowing one's own face and reality as it is. What is liberation? It is precisely becoming a Buddha in one's own face. If one clings to and strives for other places and realms of liberation, it is extremely mistaken. Therefore, in the ultimate truth, there is no place to even slightly hope for results, so it is the door of liberation, absence of aspiration. O young boy, master of intelligence, you!
