Regarding the Kusali instructions for the method of averting death: For the male or female to be protected, prepare a decorated effigy, as well as washing water, milk, changbu (a type of beer), pieces of meat, an angry effigy, various grains, etc., according to the ritual. Finally, perform the self-generation ritual, a brief Tara ritual. In addition, bless and invoke the ransom offering.
