It is of utmost importance to know the state of non-existence and existence as they are, with the wisdom of unerring realization. The necessity of such determination is to reverse the mind's attachment, not to fall into samsara, to attain the permanence of the Dharmakaya, and to become non-dual with the Vajra mind of all Buddhas. Fourth, abiding in the natural state: abiding, returning to position, sameness, and integration of subsequent attainment. As it is said, therefore, the body and mind should not strive for elaboration as before, but should be relaxed and let go. The body should be in the posture of a sleeping lion, like a corpse in a charnel ground, the body remaining motionless. Speech should be like the strings of a lute (Tibetan: པི་ཝྃ་གི) that have been cut, remaining free from words. The mind should be like a marmot whose water source has been cut off, without accepting or rejecting all elaborations of memory, thought, coming and going, resting in a state of non-discrimination. Abiding in the meaning that is free from thoughts of ordinary dharma, causing awareness to approach the nature of great wisdom. By this, when the body abides, the burden of cherishing is abandoned, and the meaning of emptiness is seen. When speech abides, unspeakable wisdom arises in the continuum. When the mind abides, awareness abides in its own nature, and the three kayas are manifested. Fifth, returning to the original position: The key point of the body is to place the left leg inside and the right leg outside, placing them on the thighs, assuming the vajra posture. The thumbs of both hands press the pulse of the ring finger, forming a vajra fist, placing them at the waist. The body is upright, the spine is straight like an arrow, the abdomen is not relaxed, filled with the wind of wisdom, the arms are not drooping, spread out like wings. The neck is slightly bent like an iron hook. The tongue touches the upper palate, being in a state of possessing the seven dharmas of Vairochana, the eyes blankly gazing into space with the posture of a Bodhisattva, and when all the arising thoughts of feeling are left uncorrected, there is a need to gain stability in samadhi. Also, the key point of the body is visualized as the form of a wrathful deity, the legs spread out in the posture of a giant throwing, and the threatening mudra is also thrown alternately to the right and left, while reciting the sounds of Ha (Tibetan: ཧ), He (Tibetan: ཧེ), and Ruru (Tibetan: རུ་ལུ), the pupils staring fixedly, the steps alternating between fast and slow, by practicing skills in asceticism, there is a need for the awareness of subsequent attainment to be naturally stable and reach the ultimate.

All preliminary practices should be done for at least seven, five, or three days. By doing so, temporarily, obstacles and hindrances will not arise in accomplishing liberation and enlightenment. Ultimately, the three doors will mature into the nature of the three vajras, and a state of irreversible stability will be attained. Up to this point, the methods of the preliminaries have been taught. Secondly, explaining the actual meaning of the main practice, which includes: grasping the key points of the three doors; relying on the three key points to make awareness directly manifest in oneself; showing how the appearances of the basis of practice and the lamp of the path arise; transforming the impurities of the elements into clarity, so that outer and inner appearances manifest as lamps; and showing the appearances of the four visions and the essential instructions on the ultimate support. There are five aspects in total. First, grasping the key points of the three doors: The key point of the body is to assume the posture of the three kayas; straighten the channels, control the winds, and open the key point of awareness. Thus it is said. Therefore, what is relied upon first is that if the key point of the body's door is not controlled, the practice of the channels cannot be done; if the key point of the channels is not controlled, the key points of the winds and awareness cannot be controlled; if these are not controlled, the appearances of luminosity will not manifest directly. Therefore, it is very important to first learn the posture of the body. First, the posture of the Dharmakaya is: joining the soles of the feet together, which balances the temperature of the elements; sitting upright, which suppresses the moving winds and increases the wisdom winds; curling the fingers of the hands and pointing the vajra fist towards the ground, which suppresses the scattering karma winds; keeping the spine straight and slightly contracting the head towards the neck, which has the key to quickly arising experiences. Secondly, the posture of the Sambhogakaya is: turning the soles of the feet outwards and lying face down, which suppresses the moving karma winds and eliminates diseases of heat and cold; joining the knees and chest together, which balances the temperature; propping the elbows on the ground, which enables drawing awareness into the expanse, is the key point; placing the four major joints on the ground, which suppresses the doors of impure karma winds. Thirdly, the posture of the Nirmanakaya is: placing the soles of the feet on the ground, which suppresses afflictions and karma winds, and lowers the temperature that balances the elements; aligning the two shanks, which has the key point of the inseparability of expanse and awareness; joining the knees and chest together, which suppresses the increase of karma winds; sitting with the body generally straight and upright, which has the key point of controlling the channels; interlacing the fingers of the hands and placing them on the knees, which has the key point of the fusion of expanse and awareness; keeping the neck straight.
