Speech does not enter the cycle of rebirth, and is liberated in the Sambhogakaya, ultimately becoming inseparable from the Vajra speech of all Buddhas. The third preliminary of the mind is: All thoughts, both mind and mental events, the first arising, the middle dwelling, the final destination, etc., all external and internal containers and contents are examined. As it is said, therefore, examine this mind of yours in terms of its initial arising, its intermediate dwelling, and its final destination. Did this mind arise from external appearances? If it arose, did it arise from earth? Did it arise from water? Did it arise from fire? Did it arise from wind? Did it arise from space? Examine it in this way. When the place where the mind arises is not found from the five external elements, examine the internal realm of the aggregates, from the tip of the hair on the head down to the tip of the toenails, but it does not appear to be truly established. Or does it arise from existing things? Or does it arise from non-existing things? Thinking in this way, analyze it into individual particles and examine it, and then determine that there is no place of arising and no one who arises. Therefore, make manifest the meaning of emptiness, which is the nature of the mind, free from conceptualization, beyond thought and expression. Therefore, there is a need to recognize the great original Dharmakaya. When examining the nature of the one who dwells in the middle, the external appearances, the container world, and the internal aggregates of the head, body, and middle, when examined and analyzed as before, the dweller and the dwelling place are beyond words, and the clear and empty nature of space arises. This is the need to recognize the self-illuminating Sambhogakaya, free from grasping at inherent existence. When examining and analyzing the final destination and the lords, etc., when all the assemblies of thoughts arise and vanish simultaneously, and when it is known that there is no separation between the place of going and the one who goes, then there is a need to recognize the unceasing Nirmanakaya of awareness and emptiness. Not truly established, the nature of reality, the way of abiding, the logic appears as it is, the three bodies, wisdom, qualities are complete. As it is said, when the mind arises and is free from dwelling in this way, all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana are originally not truly established, not even a particle of dust exists. For example, in the sky, the appearance of rainbows, how vast and numerous they appear, yet all do not go beyond the sky, and are the play of the sky. And like in the ocean, the appearance of the sun, moon, stars, and reflections, how numerous they are, yet they are the play of the ocean and do not go beyond the ocean. Likewise, the appearances of samsara and nirvana are vast and

However much appears, when everything is determined to be the nature of the ground, with the wisdom that individually realizes all the nature and reality of self-born wisdom, know the abiding manner of the ground. With the wisdom that realizes selflessness, know the state of all the qualities of the path and the fruit. The self-born awareness, the intention that is free from speaking, thinking, and expressing, is manifested as it is. Such a mind, primordially empty, rootless, primordially pure, free from elaboration, is the Dharmakaya, and the self-radiance is unceasing, the wisdom light is spontaneously accomplished, and the Sambhogakaya is beyond effort. Great compassion and great wisdom pervade everywhere, and that is the Nirmanakaya. Such a Trikaya, spontaneously accomplished as a great non-duality, is the Svabhavikakaya, which does not move from the sphere. Since all the qualities of the four Kayas and five wisdoms are primordially complete in the ground, there is only a difference between awareness and non-awareness. Other than that, all the qualities of the Kayas and wisdoms, the path and the fruit, do not come from elsewhere, but must be confirmed in the nature of the ground. Therefore, first search for the way the mind arises and know that the mind is without a ground and without a root. In the middle, recognize that there is no place to stay and no one to stay, and that samsara and nirvana are self-appearances. Finally, also free from all the objects and masters of going, self-awareness is without a ground and without a root, and is the nature of all-pervading samsara and nirvana. From the beginning, it cannot be changed by any faults or virtues, and it is free from the eight extremes of elaboration, possessing the three doors of liberation, and free from the three states of arising, ceasing, and abiding. When the great self-born wisdom is manifested, the awareness of the Dzogchen path, the intention of the nature of reality manifest, means that there is no Buddha other than self-awareness, and the meaning of effortless effort is seen. Therefore, the nature of self-awareness, uncorrected and unchanged, is the mind of all the Buddhas, and there is no duality. As it is said: From wherever in the ten directions and four times, A perfect Buddha cannot be found. Since mind itself is the perfect Buddha, Do not seek a Buddha elsewhere. So it is said. In short, the outer appearance is the container world, and the inner self, aggregates, elements, and all sense bases, are also determined by the wisdom of individual realization.
