One should contemplate thus. 1-1343 Those Buddhas and others, having fully matured sentient beings and thoroughly established them in enlightenment, again gather them together and contemplate them entering into the image of Vajra. That image of Vajra, with nine faces, a buffalo head, blazing like the fire at the end of the eon, is the great Vajrabhairava (Great Vajra Terrifier), capable of consuming the three realms, with a terrifying face, haha Ha!), rolling the tongue, with terrifying wrathful wrinkles, from the side of the wrathful wrinkles, eyebrows and eyes wrathful like the time of great terror, proclaiming a sound, eating human blood, saliva, fat, and bones, making a threatening gesture towards the gods and others of the world and beyond, eating Indra, Brahma, Maheshvara, Vishnu, and Yakshas and others, with a terrifying crown of skulls, possessing great terror, proclaiming the sound phat (藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:Phat!), adorned with ornaments of hanging skulls, with sixteen feet, naked, with erect genitals, left leg extended, large belly, hair standing on end, causing great terror, proclaiming the sound phem (藏文:ཕེཾ,梵文天城体:फें,梵文罗马拟音:pheṃ,汉语字面意思:Phem!), possessing thirty-four arms, holding a wet elephant hide. 1-1344 One should contemplate the glorious great Vajrabhairava, with the face of a buffalo. Having thus contemplated very firmly, the yogi who is very much in samadhi with the union of that very reality should always meditate: in the first right hand, a curved knife; in the second, a single-pointed weapon; in the third, a pestle; in the fourth, a water knife; in the fifth, a single-pointed vajra; in the sixth, an axe; in the seventh, a short spear; in the eighth, an arrow; in the ninth, an iron hook; in the tenth, a club; in the eleventh, a khatvanga; in the twelfth, a wheel; in the thirteenth, a vajra; in the fourteenth, a vajra hammer; in the fifteenth, a sword; in the sixteenth, a hand drum. In the first left hand, a skull cup; in the second, a head; in the third, a shield; in the fourth, a foot; in the fifth, a noose; in the sixth, a bow; in the seventh, intestines; in the eighth, a bell; in the ninth, a hand; in the tenth, a charnel ground cloth; in the eleventh, a man impaled on a clear wood; in the twelfth, a fire pit; in the thirteenth, a skull garland; in the fourteenth, a threatening gesture; in the fifteenth, a trident; in the sixteenth, a charnel ground cloth fluttering in the wind. 1-1345 The two hands hold the wet elephant's hide. The first right foot steps on a man, the second on a buffalo, the third on a bull, the fourth on a donkey. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, the fifth with the right foot is a snake, the sixth is a dog, the seventh is a sheep, and the eighth is a fox. It is to ride on these with the right foot. The first with the left foot is a vulture, the second is an owl, the third is a crow, the fourth is a parrot, the fifth is a hawk, the sixth is a great garuda, the seventh is a wagtail, and the eighth is a magpie. It is to press down on these with the left foot. The first face of glorious Great Vajrabhairava is an extremely black buffalo form, extremely wrathful. On the three faces of the right horn, the first is blue, the second is red, and the third is yellow. The three faces of the lord are extremely wrathful. On the three faces of the left horn, the first is white, the second is smoky, and the third is black, extremely wrathful. The important faces should be contemplated carefully. Between the two horns, the central red face is extremely terrifying, with blood dripping from the mouth, should be contemplated. Above, the face of Manjushri is slightly yellow, slightly wrathful, adorned with the ornaments of a child. On the crown, having five locks of hair, contemplate distinctly. All the faces should be meditated upon as having three eyes. In this way, one should always focus single-pointedly on oneself. Having meditated that one is that glorious Vajrabhairava, the great buffalo-faced one, the yogi who abides in the hero's posture should then recite the mantra from the outside. At the time of recitation, one should contemplate a sun mandala in one's own heart, and on top of that, one should place the letters of one's own mantra. One should recite with a blazing and undistracted mind. The mantra practitioner who abides in this union should always perform all the actions of Vajrabhairava. One should meditate in a charnel ground and always consume the five ambrosias. By that, one accomplishes all actions; there is no other accomplishment. Furthermore, one should eat a large lamp and the yogi who walks at night should recite three hundred thousand root mantras. The mantra practitioner who recites this will accomplish all actions. This is called Manjushri, the fourth contemplation from the tantra of glorious Great Vajrabhairava. The fifth chapter: The contemplation of the ritual of painting. Then, the ritual of painting taught by glorious Great Vajrabhairava is extensively explained. One can use a hero's cloth, or a cloth that has covered a corpse, or a cloth with flowers, or a cloth that has given birth to a child. If one cannot find these, one can use any cloth. One should find a good painter who is free from conceptual thought, not angry, clean, intelligent, with a stable mind, with faith, with love, and free from desire. One should possess these qualities. With the hands of such a painter, one should paint on the hero's cloth. If one desires to attain... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
