When they repeatedly visited the people residing there, those people unanimously prophesied, 'Instead of visiting us from such a distance, you should visit the Mahāpaṇḍita Śākyaśrībhadra (Sanskrit: Śākyaśrībhadra, Auspicious Shakya) in your own country, who is the never-before-arrived Buddha, an emanation of the Radiant King.' Similarly, the yoginis and farmers of the Ugyen region also made prophecies. In particular, Dharma Lord Paṇchen's fellow disciple, the great Kashmiri Paṇḍita Buddha Candra (Sanskrit: Buddha Candra, Buddha Moon)... Buddha Moon said: 'On the island of Siṃhaladvīpa (Sanskrit: Siṃhaladvīpa, Lion Island) in Jambudvīpa, which was formerly inhabited by rākṣasīs, the emanation of Jowo Avalokiteśvara, the horse king Bālāha (Sanskrit: Bālāha, Mighty)... with the power of the powerful Hayagrīva, tamed it, and now it has become a place where the Buddhist teachings flourish. There, in the palace of Ratnacūḍāmaṇismaaraṇa (Sanskrit: Ratnacūḍāmaṇismaaraṇa, Jewel Crest Remembering Jewel), arhats actually reside.' After hearing this, from the monastery of Pravarasura (Sanskrit: Pravarasura, Excellent God) in the city of Kashmir Gribdhan (Sanskrit: Gribdhan, Holding Firm), offerings were made to the glorious Vajrāsana lineage's Mahābodhi (Sanskrit: Mahābodhi, Great Enlightenment)... Great Enlightenment, and many austerities were practiced. He also saw the arhat of Siṃhala (Sanskrit: Siṃhala, Lion) Island, and after thoroughly examining whether he was an arhat, he became convinced and stayed there for three summer months. After the summer retreat, when traveling, that arhat gave the Kashmiri paṇḍita a jeweled casket containing relics of the Tathāgata, adorned with various exquisite ornaments, and five white lotus flowers. 'First offer this relic casket and the lotus flower with stamens to the bhikṣu Śākyaśrībhadra (Sanskrit: Śākyaśrībhadra, Auspicious Shakya). Take the remaining four flowers in your bowl and temporarily give them to your fellow disciple, the Kashmiri Piṇḍapa (Sanskrit: Kaśmīra Piṇḍapa, Kashmiri Alms Gatherer). Because he is the seventh Buddha of the future, if you offer him a little food or offering, you will receive immeasurable fruits.' Siṃhala (Sanskrit: Siṃhala, Lion)... The bhikṣu Vītarāgasamantakaragupta (Sanskrit: Vītarāgasamantakaragupta, Free from Desire, Universal Hand Protector) of Lion Island sends greetings and speaks auspicious words. Then, the flower Dvabhāṣī Maitrī (Sanskrit: Dvabhāṣī Maitrī, Bilingual Maitreya), in the northern snowy land, there will appear a bilingual person named Maitrī (Sanskrit: Maitrī, Loving-kindness), who will become a disciple of the paṇḍita, and the paṇḍita will bless him. Sattvārthakaraḥ (Sanskrit: Sattvārthakaraḥ, One Who Benefits Beings)... One who benefits sentient beings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Understand it with the meaning of the land.' Say it like that. Then, a Bhikshu named Ra tna shrI (Precious Auspicious) from Drikhung (place name) in U-Tsang (central Tibet), a Dhyani (meditative) ... A meditating Bhikshu, Rinchen Pel (Precious Glory), came to offer many riches and clothes to the Pandit. There, before Sgarong (place name) departed, he sent back a verse of Dharma as a return gift and a lotus flower. This was when the teachings of the noble Nāgārjuna, which appeared five hundred years after the passing of Shakyamuni Buddha, were degenerating and further degenerating, and he came to subdue other intractable beings who could not be subdued. Know that you do not need to be his Dharma preachers.' Then, a Dhyani Pandit from the Ra tna ku Ta (Jewel Peak) temple in U-Tsang, Tibet... A meditating Geshe (spiritual friend), with his entourage, came to welcome him with various offerings. He is the future Buddha Maitreya, named Kalden Shingta (Auspicious Lion). Offer this flower to him and let him extensively teach the Dharma of the Great and Small Vehicles during his retreat. Pinda... Alms equal to one's age, therefore... In order to go to the teacher, one will obtain an irreversible reason. Then, that great Pandit and his disciple, Norzang (Excellent Wealth), requested the creation of an image of the Buddha Maitreya to liberate the remaining beings not liberated by the Tathagata Shakyamuni, and the blessing of the body, speech, and mind of the image would last for thirteen days. Thirteen types of deities would also perform thirteen types of offerings. First, place a flower on the head of the image.' When you prepare food, place these five flowers in the container of the longevity elixir and do not let the offerings be interrupted. These flowers will not become old or disappear until their respective offerings are completed, because they have been blessed.' Thus he said. Then, the Kashmiri Pandit put the flowers and elixir in his bowl and came from Singhala (Sri Lanka) to Jambudvipa (Earth), and went to the Mahabodhi Stupa in U-Tsang to pay homage in gratitude. As he ascended the steps of the Mahabodhi Temple, he met the Dharma King Panchen, who had come to pay homage to the Mahabodhi Temple and was returning. They spoke in detail about the past on the steps. Both of them departed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
