‘Sa! Reaching the peak!’ The divine artisans spoke thus. Then I prostrated, saying, ‘Your kindness is immeasurable, having already given countless times in the past. Now I request to take away just this little bit.’ I pleaded three times, but there was no opportunity. Thinking of continuing to plead to take it away, the attendant said, ‘It is better to take it when the accomplishment manifests. If the venerable one changes his mind and gives it to those stubborn Muslims, the loss would be great.’ Thinking that was true, I immediately requested and placed it in my bosom, and then recited the aspiration: ‘By this merit may all see.’ Then he said, ‘Go, go.’ After that, I offered a gift to express gratitude to the Dharma protector. Some people did their best to carry the Dharma King's palanquin and prayed. I requested to be escorted to Purang, but it was not allowed. They gave me a hat, ritual implements, and the Indian ‘Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra’. ‘In this life and the next seven lives, I will do the work of the lama, and you will do the work of a supreme disciple. When Maitreya (བྱམས་མགོན།) comes to Jambudvipa (འཛམ་བུ་གླིང་།), in order to accomplish the great deeds of benefiting oneself and others, countless inconceivable activities will be gathered. At that time, we will have long and close connections with countless sentient beings to be trained, and together we will accomplish inconceivable activities.’ Now say one ‘A-tsho’. Also, make these relics (རིང་བསྲེལ།) of the Tathāgata (དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ།) the core. Make a small statue that is similar or dissimilar to my image, and place it as an object of devotion for prayer. Many things will be accomplished.’ Later, the translator shaped the statue in that way, and during the consecration, a ray of light merged into the rainbow-like form of the seven letters of the Supreme Bliss (དེ་མཆོག), very clearly, and many wonderful signs appeared. After that, I did many prostrations and circumambulations, and returned with tears in my eyes. Even for very small things, he would ask, ‘How much reward is needed for the divine artisans?’ The patron of Gurmo, named Jektsa, and two pilgrims from Nepal mediated, saying, ‘It is necessary to give your abbot (མཁན་པོ།) seven hundred srang of gold, two hundred srang to the goldsmith, and thirty srang to the jeweler, totaling nine hundred and thirty srang. One-third of which is gold and silver, one-third is cloth and miscellaneous items, and one-third is horses and silk.’ The venerable one said, ‘If jewels are obtained from the outer sea, the reward will be sufficient, otherwise it will be difficult.’ Then he asked, ‘What kind of meaning do you want to pursue as the result of shaping the statue?’ I replied, ‘In the past, I have already planted the wish-fulfilling tree of precious aspirations.’ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I recited once the prayer you composed. I reported to you the general meaning of it, and you shed many tears, saying that even if a stupa as large as Lhari (mountain name) were built, it would be insignificant if it could not be contained by this prayer. This prayer makes all efforts meaningful.' You were very pleased and said, 'You yourself should practice it regularly, and also teach it to others. I will pray for you, do not seek wealth that is contrary to the Dharma, and return quickly after completing the task.' I circled you again and again, prostrated at your feet, and then left. On the way back, I dreamed of meeting you every night. After each dream, I shed tears and prayed with intense sorrow. After that, in the Water Bird year (Tibetan calendar), you stayed in Purang (place name) and became the guru of Dharma King Taktsa (person name). Then gradually, in Mangyul (place name), there were two wealthy noble families who were saddened by not having children, and you performed an auspicious ceremony for them to have children, and directed their wealth towards virtuous deeds, building a huge stupa, which is said to be called the 'Child-Giving Stupa'. After that, you went to Gribtan in Kashmir (Kashmir Gribtan, place name). On the dangerous road to get there, even when robbers appeared, you said, 'I have long since abandoned enemies.' Because there was no gold, they did not harm you. In Globo (place name), Dolpo (place name), and Purang (place name), etc., you gave according to people's needs, making people feel satisfied, and your activities flourished. Therefore, the Dharma King, the great Kashmiri Pandit, performed countless Buddha activities in this snowy land. Some were placed in the irreversible state, some were placed on the path of liberation, some were guided to the merits of practice, and most were guided to accumulate special meritorious deeds. You acted as if you had closed the doors to the lower realms, and made the path to heaven and liberation wide. You also greatly promoted the Buddha's teachings. If we briefly summarize these meanings, Mahalotsawa (Great Translator) said: 'When the sun of beings travels north and south, whatever is seen, heard, remembered, and relied upon, the nectar praised in the center of the snowy land, you act for the benefit of immeasurable beings, I prostrate to you!' To accomplish such excellent two benefits, the great Pandit with inconceivable power and majesty is actually an emanation of the third future Buddha, the Radiant King. A king of Magadha (ancient Indian place name) said that many accomplished hermits are on Bird Foot Mountain (Ri Byakangkanchen, place name), and there are many Arhats in Singha (place name). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
