The wealthy millionaires invited him to stay for a long time. When the translator (lo-tsā-ba) went to visit him, he slightly rebuked the people offering alms for their poor guidance. Someone thought, 'It would be nice if he could be a little more tolerant than this.' At that time, Gungtang's Jo-bo Gonpo Pal felt annoyed and was ordained and received the full monastic vows in front of the Dharma Lord (chos-rje), with the translator serving as the Karma Acarya (las-kyi slob-dpon). Later, many problems arose when the Dharma Lord performed rituals, which was also difficult. In particular, it was very cautious because it had to be done in Sanskrit. However, because the translator performed the ritual well, the Dharma Lord praised, 'The translator's language is good, and the ritual is very good.' 'The mind is not good, not good to the people offering alms.' He pointed to his heart with his finger and said, 'It is not good here.' Other biographies like this, because there are too many words, I am afraid of the length, so I did not write them. On the way to pilgrimage to Drichung La ('bri mtshams), the translator thought of visiting the Dharma Lord, so he rang a conch shell. There was a hole in the whorl of the conch shell, which was covered with a piece of cloth sewn with images of deities. When sitting in the lotus position, the position of the crossed legs was slightly incorrect, causing a slight abrasion on the tibia of the left calf, which looked a little tired, but it was finally adjusted. After visiting the Dharma Lord in Drichung La, he offered the conch shell as a gift, but the Dharma Lord did not accept it and repeatedly said it was not good. The translator asked, 'Why is that?' The Dharma Lord replied, 'Many Buddhas have eaten from this, and it has been used up.' 'In Tushita (dga' ldan), there are many practitioners who have also eaten from this and used it up.' Hearing these words, the translator understood the meaning and, to repent, he sculpted a small statue of Maitreya (byams pa). After that, he asked, 'Is your body well?' The Dharma Lord replied, 'The feet of Maitreya Bhagavan over there are not good. My feet hurt. There is nothing bad over there, and there is nothing bad with me.' After the statue of Maitreya (byams mgon) was completely sculpted, at that time, the Arhat (dgra bcom pa) of Sinhala (sing ga gling, now Sri Lanka) sent a bezoar box containing three relics (ring bsrel), along with a white lotus flower, and three small right-spiraling conch shells offered to the Dharma Lord by the king of Balendra (bha len dra) in eastern India. The Dharma Lord gave these items to the monks Translator Jampa Pal (byams pa'i dpal), Bhikshu Nyima Sonam (nyi ma bsod nams), and Bhikshu Dorje Phan (rdo rje 'phan).

He narrated and bestowed the oral instructions and stories transmitted by Marpa (a great translator). Upon opening the food box of Ba so, the relics (of the Buddha) increased to five. He then said, 'This food box, along with three relics of the Tathagata, wrapped with borneol camphor and the like, arranged with auspicious interdependence, adorned with three right-spiraling conch shells, accompanied by offerings, praises, and dharani mantras, was practiced many times and placed in the heart of the Great Compassionate One (Byams chen, the statue of Maitreya).' One relic of the Tathagata was kept by the Dharma King (Chos rje) himself, and one relic was given to the translator (Lo ts'a ba). One lotus flower offered by the Arhat (dgra bcom pa) was placed on the head of the Great Compassionate One, and another flower was given to the translator. From the third to the thirteenth day of the month of Bre in the Water Male Monkey year (chu pho spre'u lo), a grand consecration ceremony was held. 'I do not have the power to consecrate, because the venerable one (rje btsun) of Ganden (dGa' ldan pa) himself sees and knows, so I am requesting him.' On the eighth day, without intentionally playing music, many people also heard the sound. A wonderful fragrance filled all the palaces, large and small, flowers fell like rain, and a great light appeared, so make extensive offerings. Even one finger of the venerable one's outstretched right hand cannot fit in the Ganden palace.' Previously, the venerable Mitra Jogi said to the translator, 'You have a very close karmic connection with the venerable Compassionate Protector, so you must build a statue eighty cubits high.' I do not have the ability to complete so much, please allow me to build a statue of human height.' He said, 'There will be ability, in the future when the venerable Compassionate One attains Buddhahood, there will be a Chakravartin king named 'Dung' who will rule the four continents. You must not be discouraged. I have also finished praying, and at the time of consecration, I will also come in the form of a body of light.' 'Then please come in person to consecrate.' He said, 'The interdependence for coming in person is not complete, many fortunate people will see the body of light. Prepare good offerings.' As it was said, a ray of light appeared like a rainbow and merged into the heart of the Great Compassionate One, which Lhaje Racha (Lha rje ra char) and others also saw. At that time, the translator was very happy and composed a hymn to the venerable Compassionate One, translated into Sanskrit (samskrta), which is all the blessing of the venerable one himself. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
