Even when invited. 2-613 The monks of the Single Seat Monastery and the Kadampa (bKa'-gdams-pa) school did not allow an audience. It is said that later, an auspicious event occurred where the body was not left in Tibet. Many gifts of gold, silver, silk garments, and fine horses were sent, with the message: 'Please give a concise essence of the Dharma.' It was said, 'It will be given when you meet Mahālocchāva (Great Translator).' Later, something called 'Dharma Son' (Chos-skyes) was given. At that time, the message said: 'We teachers and students listen to, explain, and revere the Dharma of the great lay practitioner Licchavī. However, due to some of the retinue bound by karmic connections, we ask for forgiveness for future concealment, as there is concern about nearby reputations.' 'Have Rinchen Gangpa (Rinchen sGang-pa) and others come to circumambulate the temple of Dīpaṃkara (the Buddha Dīpaṃkara).' Thus, he was sent off. Previously, when Rinchen Gangpa was at Samye Monastery performing Dharma activities for his mother's virtuous deeds, a man from Nalpurba (rNal-pur-ba) came and said: 'Today, you must meet one of the thousand Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon, someone called 'Fortunate Chariot' (Skal-ldan Shing-rta), so quickly do virtuous practices.' It is said that such a hint was heard. Immediately, Rinchen Gangpa arrived to request an audience. At that time, during the evening practice, Bhāḍila, 2-614 asked the Geshe (dge bshes, spiritual mentor): 'Is that person Fortunate Chariot (Skal-ldan Shing-rta)?' He replied: 'Fortunate (Skal-ldan) he is, but the chariot (Shing-rta) is the karma of Gyama Gang (rGya-ma-sgang), where many fierce people gather indiscriminately, and it seems to be declining. However, you seem to be invited there; if you stay for three months, karmic obscurations will be purified. If you only go twice, at the time of death, due to the disputes of the retinue, a powerful karma will not be purified. In two or three lifetimes, you must purify the karma that depends on you, and it seems that going twice will purify it.' He asked: 'What kind of karma depends on me?' He replied: 'When you invited the Paṇ-chen (Paṇ-chen) and others, you said that these two arhats (arhat) had a bad reputation, and you brought Indian nuns (bhikṣuṇī) who were not needed, and you did not bring the necessary translator.' Just like that, later the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) and his retinue were invited, and a grand Dharma assembly was held. It is said that later, the 'Seven Drops of the Tara Swift Accomplishment Practice' (Sgrol-ma 'chi-ka'i man-ngag thim-pa bdun) was taken as a heart practice. From the 'Stages of the Bodhisattva Path' (rGyal-sras lam-rim) composed by the Dharma Lord: 'Like a dream, not outside; like an illusion, without true meaning; like the sky, devoid of characteristics; all phenomena are naturally clear light.' These were written one hundred and eight times in gold letters, 2-615 and told to the disciples. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is said that he distributed (the food) to those great figures and said that just this one was enough. Later, after that, from Lhodrak and Nyal Loro to Tsekar, he did many deeds to benefit beings, but there is not enough to write. In Yarlung, he went to Kuwo and Solnak Tangpoche many times and stayed there for a long time. In Tangpoche, he begged for food, but because there were too many people, the place was not big enough, he put a bowl full of food on top of a mud house, the bowl slipped, and the food spilled everywhere, making the mud house a mess. His practice of the generation stage and completion stage was also not clear. Because his mind was mostly dull, some confusing things happened, and Jetsunma of Bhadi said, 'Dīpaṃkara Śrījñāna was the Buddha of the Bhadrakalpa, and all the alms he received would not fall into samsara, but would be the basis for deeds and prayers, and people would go around it, but the food from your bowl spilled everywhere, and the karmic obscuration of this action has brought fault. If you do not confess, all the retinues will be afflicted by plague.' It is said that he immediately used all the items offered to the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) to hold a feast for all the foundation members of the Sangha. He performed the bathing rituals of Vajravidāraṇa and Uṣṇīṣavijayā. Also, in Tangpoche, a person named Nyalpa Tsangnakpa, when debating with a translator (Lotsawa), quoted a saying of Jo bo rje, but the translator mocked him. As a result, the next day his voice became hoarse, and he was forced to interrupt his Dharma teaching at a large gathering. The translation of the meaning of the Ratnagotravibhāga, Jātakamālā, and Caryāmelāpaka was also interrupted. He was unable to recover for a month, so he went to Sharpu in Yarlung and drank the water of Ramo Menchu, etc., but it was of no use. He prayed to the Dharma Lord, who said that he must confess to Dīpaṃkara Śrījñāna. After that, he made confession and offered sacrifices. In Ganden, he made praises and prayers, praising the verses of the birth of the son of the gods, Nam-mkha' Dri-med, and his throat was restored. It is said that this was a slight throat disease called sāra bhaṃ ka, and if he did not confess, it would become ji bhaṃ bhaṃ ka, and if that happened, the translator would become no different from a mute.' So the translator wrote a prayer called 'A Bouquet of Beautiful Flowers to Pray to Dīpaṃkara Śrījñāna' and prayed strongly. After that, the Dharma Lord also observed the translator's capacity for a long time. After that, he showed great attachment even to things as small as sam phye sder ma, rather than to possessions, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
