Thus it was done. These stories, at Khrophu Monastery, were extensively taught and bestowed with instructions by the Great Paṇchen himself as the translator, to the monk Nyima Dorje and others, thus it is an unparalleled and immaculate biography. Afterwards, he went to Kashmir again, and after performing deeds for the benefit of beings there, he ultimately passed away manifestly. The manner in which that great lord of Dharma, whose qualities are immeasurable, went to Kashmir again and performed deeds for the benefit of beings there is inconceivable. In particular, although the teachings of the heretics (grib brtan) were prevalent in Kashmir, due to the scarcity of monks, the Dharma Lord caused the ordained Sangha to increase immeasurably. He also re-established the traditions of teaching Tantra and Philosophy that had declined or had not yet flourished. He also thoroughly corrected the chaotic practices of Tantra and the broken lineages of blessings. He restored all the palaces and dilapidated stupas, such as those at Pañcapura. He also brought kings and local officials, and those who had not yet entered the Dharma, into the Dharma, thus causing it to flourish in all directions. Then, relying on the wisdom of all the previous teachers, he resided in the temple of the noble Tara (sgrol ma), begging for alms in the city, and stayed there for a long time. The noble lady said: 'The lifespan previously calculated according to the birth chart has come to an end, but due to the service to the teachings, the lifespan has been extended by five years. Now, the aspiration made in Tushita (dga' ldan) is close to being realized.' It is said that the king who had converted to heretical beliefs turned back and entered the Buddhist teachings, and a great feast was held for those who had entered the Buddhist teachings. At that time, due to taking a small amount of camphor, he felt slightly unwell, and after divination, he knew that he was about to pass away, so he made extensive offerings to all the internal and external paṇḍitas and others. He himself wrote a will, instructing the paṇḍita Sanghamashri (paṇḍita saṅgha ma śrī)... and Gedun Pal (dge 'dun dpal) and Trailokyānanda (trai lokya ā nanda)... Joy of the Three Realms, saying: 'After my passing, in Tibet, in the place where the venerable Maitreya (byams chen) resides, place my bones and relics. If the translator can build a stupa, that would be even better.' Having said this, he sent them off. During the illness, for about three months and three days, the surroundings of a place called Pravasura were surrounded day and night by very clear rainbows, and the inside was filled with an unprecedented divine fragrance, which even animals could smell, and white flowers --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is said that on the summit of Red Mountain, it used to rain three times a day. It happened like this: The son of the Tathagata Lion's Roar, the Lord of Dharma, Shakya Shri Bhadra (Shakya Shri Bhadra, meaning 'Auspicious Virtue of the Shakya Clan'), having personally completed various great deeds for the vast benefit of beings in India and most of Tibet, later, in the cool land of Kashmir, in a region where the nectar stream of auspicious goodness flows slowly and comfortably, in a corner of a city called Maha Ramasdyana Samanta Bhuta Pravara Pura, by the pond of the heavenly flower Mandharava, he single-mindedly practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva. He remained steadfastly seated with the lotus pistils of his feet firmly planted, at the age of eleven plus half of twelve, totaling seventeen and a half years. Through practicing and expounding the essence of the precious Dharma, he illuminated the world like the autumn sun. Finally, when he had fully accomplished the great and wonderful deeds he had done in this life, from the pure Tushita Heaven (Tushita, Sanskrit: Tuṣita, transliterated as 兜率陀天, the fourth heaven of the desire realm, meaning 'Contentment Heaven' or 'Joyful Heaven'), the immeasurable palace of the glorious God's Abode, Maitreya (Maitreya, Sanskrit: Maitreya) the Unconquerable Protector of Loving-kindness himself descended to his presence. From there, the Dharma sound, extremely melodious and pleasing, proclaimed the Dharma in seven beautiful tones. Immediately following, four verses of poetry urged the holy sky-goers to invite him to Tushita, and a rainbow bridge of light manifested. He ascended upwards with a movement from bending to extending his arm, accompanied by many incredible miracles. He manifestly passed away. The great translator said: 'As taught by the ascetic Bird-Foot, the guardian of Uddiyana (Uddiyana, Sanskrit: Udyāna, an ancient Indian place name, meaning 'Garden'), and the Arhat from the island of Simhala (Simhala, Sanskrit: Siṃhala, ancient Ceylon), fully possessing the signs of the three future Buddhas, I pay homage to the venerable one who will go to Tushita!' Thereafter, during the cremation of the body, patrons such as the king offered vast offerings of sandalwood and other items. Many Panditas and monks made offerings and praises. Countless people circumambulated and prostrated. The sound of wonderful music resounded in the sky above for a long time, which everyone heard. Immediately following, clear lyrics came from the sound of the music. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
