He said that he would stay here permanently. When these Dharmas spread, the great Slarmo (place name) came, and the patrons from all directions gave great respect for a long time. After settling down in the temple, he displayed many precious sacred objects of body, speech, and mind (Tibetan: སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་རྟེན་) that had come from India, and often offered excellent offerings. He also preached the major and minor Dharmas. Due to the increase in meditation (Tibetan: ཐུགས་དམ་), he also saw deities that he had never seen before. He heard the sound of the drums of the Thirty-Three Heavens (Tibetan: སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་པ) and the offerings of Tushita (Tibetan: དགའ་ལྡན་པ), sounds that he had never heard before, which were pleasant and had different tones. It is said that these sounds initially sounded like music, but later turned into various different sounds of Dharma. At that time, the monk Sonam Dze (Tibetan: བསོད་ནམས་མཛེས) from Latö Jang (Tibetan: ལ་སྟོད་བྱང་) came after hearing the fame of Dharma Lord Panchen (Tibetan: པཎ་ཆེན), and met Dharma Lord at the great Slarmo. He said, 'Since I took the full ordination, until now, I do not remember ever committing even the slightest offense against the vows of individual liberation (Tibetan: སོ་སོར་ཐར་པའི་སྡོམ་པ་). I would like to dedicate the merit of guarding my pure vows.' Then, Dharma Lord took off his hat, put his palms together, and said, 'Alala, Alala! Such a monk does not exist even in the east and west of India, it is truly amazing!' Then, he dedicated, 'Through the virtuous deeds of giving and so on, and the perfect guarding of vows, and the correct hearing of the true Dharma, may I attain supreme enlightenment!' After the dedication, Dharma Lord said, 'You stay by my side and be my object of offering.' Thus, Sonam Dze served Dharma Lord during his stay in Tibet. There, Dharma Lord did many things to benefit sentient beings as he pleased, which were inconceivable. Before, when he came from the south, Dharma Lord wrote a brief 'Bodhisattva Path Gradation' (Tibetan: རྒྱལ་སྲས་ལམ་རིམ་བསྡུས་པ་) in the Lhakhang (Tibetan: ལྷ་ཁང་) of Geshe Kyangpo (Tibetan: དགེ་བཤེས་རྐྱང་པོ) in Jangro Yalma (Tibetan: རྒྱང་རོ་ཡལ་མར). Later, Dharma Lord said that he would expand it slightly, and then wrote this extensive version at the great Slarmo. Whether one is engaged in hearing, speaking, or meditating, one cannot lack the preliminary practices, so Dharma Lord wrote a brief 'Practice Gradation' (Tibetan: ཆོས་སྤྱོད་བསྡུས་པ་) in Chongdü Gurmo (Tibetan: ཚོང་འདུས་མགུར་མོ), and later also wrote the extensive version at the great Slarmo. Dharma Lord also taught the young Panditas many treatises such as the 'Deeds Section' (Tibetan: ས་སྡེ་) and the 'Seven Treatises on Valid Cognition' (Tibetan: ཚད་མ་སྡེ་བདུན). During the summer retreat (Tibetan: དབྱར་གནས་), Dharma Lord explained and translated the 'Vinaya Sutra Commentary' (Tibetan: འདུལ་བ་མདོའི་ཊཱི་ཀཱ) written by the teacher Shakya Od (Tibetan: ཤཱཀྱ་འོད) and the 'Verses on the Conduct of a Bhikshu' (Tibetan: དགེ་སློང་གི་ཚིག་ལེའུར་བྱས་པ་) written by Aryadeva. After the debate, at Chumik Ringmor (Tibetan: ཆུ་མིག་རིང་མོར), many Geshes and abbots requested Dharma Lord to teach the 'Garland of Precious Middle Way' (Tibetan: དབུ་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཕྲེང་བ་) and the 'Mirror of Poetry' (Sanskrit: Kavyadarsha). After that, True Countenance (Tibetan: དྲང་སྲོང་)…… --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
