'Please be seated.' The message came that 'In three days, there will be someone coming to invite a great lama from Tibet.' Just as it was said, within three days, the four messengers arrived. Their message was: Maitreya (藏文:མཻ་ཏྲི་ཤྲཱི, Maitreya), on the seventh day of the seventh month of the Wood Tree Rat Year (藏文:ཤིང་ལྗོན་བྱི་བ་), when you set out for the purpose of inviting, the Golden-Topped Buddha (藏文:གཙུག་ཏོར་གསེར་མདོག་ཅན) and Vaiśravaṇa (藏文:རྣམ་ཐོས་བུ,梵文天城体:वैश्रवण,梵文罗马拟音:Vaiśravaṇa,lit. 'He who hears everything') repeatedly urged the north and prostrated. Although the great being was slightly saddened by compassion, when he tried to prevent it with sadness, he prophesied the place, time, and person, and radiated great compassion and prostrated. After that, Jetsun Drolma (藏文:རྗེ་བཙུན་སྒྲོལ་མ་) performed five days of prayers, and by observing the omens, it showed that it was very auspicious. After that, when Jagaddala (藏文:ཛ་ག་དྷ་ལ་)... those who protect beings requested a delay, it happened to be the time when Nurbu (藏文:ནུར་བྱུང་) appeared. The translator (藏文:ལོ་ཙྪ་བ་) established a base in Mon Yul (藏文:མོན་ཡུལ་) and recited one hundred and eight practices every day, praying. One night, he dreamed of a chariot exactly like the one of Arya Bukam Yatzé (藏文:འཕགས་པ་བྷུ་ཀམ་ཡ་རྩེ), which was already prepared. A wooden statue of Jetsun Jampa (藏文:རྗེ་བཙུན་བྱམས་པ་) was placed on the chariot, and when the reins were tied and ready to be pulled, two performers with the heads of lions and wild boars turned the chariot around and pulled it away. Thinking, 'We don't want that at all,' no matter how much they tried to stop it, it was of no use. So, they cried out in great pain and woke up from the dream, thinking, 'Is the Dharma Lord (藏文:ཆོས་རྗེ་) returning halfway?' Then, having no other choice, they divided the one hundred and eight practices into three parts and made earnest prayers to the deities. The verses of the prayer are as follows: Alas! Alas! Wretched one! Protector of all, God of accomplishment with skillful means and power! Vaisravana (藏文:རྣམ་སྲས་), for the sake of inviting the reincarnation of the Panchen Lama (藏文:པཎ་ཆེན་), I have exerted all my strength and endured thousands of hardships, but today I am looking at myself in vain. You are like a wish-fulfilling jewel that fulfills the hopes of those to be tamed. You are my protector, but the chariot has already set out, yet it is lost on the great road of return, leading to distress. Alas! Where is your skillful means and compassion? If the work of myself and the northern beings cannot be accomplished, why didn't you prevent it from the beginning through a dream? You abandon me at a critical moment, causing me great harm. Now I am going to the Jewel Island (藏文:རིན་ཆེན་གླིང་) empty-handed, like a capable person caught by the enemy, killed, or imprisoned. Even though you are witnessing all this with your own eyes, you remain indifferent. Alas! What can be done? What can be done? What can be done?' Up to here is the dream.

The earth shook, The gods lost their positions! At that time, Chos-rje (Dharma Lord) and his entourage stayed for a few days on the way back to Ja-ga-dha-la (Place name), and performed seven days of prostrations, circumambulations, and offerings, but his mood still did not improve. Every night, he repeatedly had the same signs, that is, the previous three deities were urging him. Then, he prayed to Jetsun Drolma (Venerable Tara), and Tara said: 'Don't stay here any longer, leave quickly! Both of the sacred objects that were carried on the big chariot have been reversed. The Dharma wheel ('khor-lo) of Jowo (Lord) Great Compassionate One (Thugs-rje chen-po) is inverted because the nail is broken. My body is also angrily turned backwards. The Sangha (community) is more greedy for wealth than seeking Dharma, and is satisfied with shells. What are you doing here? Go to the north, go to the north!' Then, he told the Sthavira (Gnas-brtan, Elder) and the Sangha, and prepared to return to Tibet again. After that, Panchen (Great Scholar) and Varanasiwa (Person from Varanasi) were not afraid of the heat, and announced the good news in advance, saying that they would spread the good news and gather the masses. The Dharma Lord kept a letter in his heart and asked them to bring it as soon as possible. Three days after the gods lost their positions, the translator (Lo-tstsha-ba) learned that they would arrive in thirteen days. He also dreamed that his disciple, named Jomo Nakyorkyi (Jo-mo rnal-'byor skyid), whose brother received a letter written on buckwheat paper, sent by the Bhikshu (dge slong, monk) Vaishramana Ye (bai shra ma Na ye). The letter said: 'In thirteen days, Gyawa Shakya Shri (Byams-pa shakya shri) will arrive, don't stay there, you must leave in advance and go to Karuna City (ka ru Na)'. Before the letter was read, it was in Chinese, but after reading it, it became Tibetan. The translator was very happy, and after waking up, he ran back and forth in a room. Because of edema, he had a painful blister called Gandru (gan dru) on both of his feet. He thought that there were water-absorbing creatures lotus placed inside, but as a result of running, the Gandru broke and the water flowed out. He said to his friends: 'Ah! What a wonderful dream! The joyful mood cannot be suppressed! I don't even know where to put my feet! The painful blister broke! Wake up, wake up! The good news fills the valley! The fortunate ones fill the kingdom! The Dharma fills the world!' Geshe (dge bshes, spiritual teacher) Yiziton ('dzi ston) said: 'Oh, I also encountered something similar last year, and I was very painful because of something that was not successful.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
