Oṃ. Āḥ at the throat, Hūṃ at the heart. From the Hūṃ at the heart, light radiates. From the realm of the Ḍākinīs, the Lion-faced Ḍākinī, surrounded by a retinue of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Vajra Samājaḥ. Jaḥ Hūṃ Vaṃ Hoḥ. Merging into non-duality. The five classes of deities of power, together with their retinues, Vajra Samājaḥ. Oṃ Abhiṣiñcatu Māṃ. Having made this supplication, the deities of power say, 'Oṃ Vajrī Bhava Abhiṣiñca Hūṃ,' and bestow empowerment. The body is filled. Impurities are cleansed. From the remaining water that rises upwards, the head is adorned with a five-pronged blue vajra. At the heart, on top of the sun, a dark blue Hūṃ surrounded by mantra radiates light. Burning and cutting off all malevolent spells and harms from others. Aḥ Kaḥ Saḥ Maḥ Raḥ Caḥ Śaḥ Daḥ Raḥ Saḥ Māḥ Raḥ Yaḥ Phaṭ. By this virtue, etc. If one is to give the subsequent permission of this, on the maṇḍala, in the center of a dark blue dharmodayā, arrange piles of colored powders. Offerings are made clockwise. With a red triangular torma, one generates oneself as before, and in front, one generates it likewise. Offerings, praises, and torma are offered. The subsequent permission is performed like the hundred root sadhanas. Finally, the torma is placed on the head, and the mantra and command are recited. Refuge and bodhicitta. Immeasurable thoughts. Svabhāvas. From emptiness, on top of a jeweled throne, lotus, and moon, one's own mind is the white syllable Hrīḥ. From that transforming completely, in an instant, one becomes the noble Avalokiteśvara, the color of his body like a heap of snow mountains, white like the rising sun. One face, four arms, with a very peaceful demeanor. The first two hands are joined at the heart, urging all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to work for the benefit of sentient beings. The second right hand holds a white crystal rosary. The second left hand holds the stem of a white lotus flower, blooming at the ear, on top of which is marked by a jeweled king of power. The feet are seated in the vajra posture. The body is adorned with jeweled ornaments and various silk garments. In order to symbolize being inseparable from bodhicitta, a krishnasara deer skin covers the left breast. The black hair is in a matted topknot, on top of a jeweled lotus and moon seat supported by lions, resides the essence of all root and lineage lamas, yidams, and Buddhas, Amitābha, the color of his body red, one face, two arms, making the mudra of meditative equipoise. The feet are seated in the vajra posture. Wearing saffron-colored monastic robes, with the appearance of a celibate. A smiling face... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With what merit do you reside in my heart, delighting me? I beseech the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One, the Immeasurable Life and Wisdom, to purify all the sins and obscurations accumulated from beginningless time by me and all limitless sentient beings with your immeasurable life and wisdom; May the accumulation of merit and wisdom be perfected, may the correct samadhi arise in the mindstream, and may I quickly attain the complete enlightenment of the All-Knowing Buddha. Having prayed in this way three times, contemplate that the compassion and blessings of the lama enter you, and relax the mind. Think in this way: all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana are one's own mind, and if one searches for the cause of the mind's initial arising, it cannot be found. Therefore, it is called the gate of liberation, emptiness. If one examines the nature of the mind itself, there is nothing to be grasped as either internal or external phenomena. Therefore, its own nature is emptiness, and it is called the gate of liberation, signlessness. In the end, the result of cessation is not established anywhere, so it is called the gate of liberation, wishlessness. In short, abide as much as possible in the luminous, self-aware state of mind, free from arising, abiding, and ceasing. If thoughts arise, then think: although all phenomena are inherently empty, these sentient beings who have not realized this are bound by the delusion of self-grasping, how pitiful. Meditate on compassion in this way, alternating between emptiness and compassion. This is called the practice of uniting great compassion and mahamudra. If you become weary from meditation, then visualize a white “ཧྲཱིཿ” (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Hrih) syllable on a moon at your heart, surrounded by the six-syllable mantra, radiating light, benefiting sentient beings, and the compassion of all the Buddhas entering you. Jewel in the lotus! Hum!) as much as possible. Finally, dedicate the merit: By this merit, may all beings, like the youthful Noble Wealth, delight the holy lama with qualities like an ocean. In all activities, contemplate that the place where you are is the Western Pure Land of Sukhavati, or Mount Potala, etc., all forms appearing are the nature of the body of the noble Avalokiteshvara, all sounds heard are the essence of the six-syllable mantra, and all mental thoughts are the nature of non-dual wisdom. Purify in this way, and in all activities of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, strive to engage in virtuous deeds. May those who are fortunate enough to encounter these brief methods of accomplishment cherish and practice them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
