Om Karpo: White Om at the throat. Ah Marpo: Red Ah at the throat. Thuk Kar Hung ngonpo: White at the heart, blue Hung. In the center of the heart, the wisdom being is inseparable from oneself, symbolizing everything. On the sun at the heart, the meditative being, the blue Hung like a seed, from which light radiates. From the realm of self-nature, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas manifest as the wrathful Achala. Recite: Vajra Samaja. Ja Hum Bam Hoh, dissolving into non-duality. Again, light radiates, inviting the five families of empowerment deities and their retinues. Recite: Vajra Samaja. Om Abhiṣiñcatu Māṃ (Om, grant me the empowerment). After the request, the empowerment deities recite: Om Vajri Bhava Abhiṣiñca Hūṃ (Om, Vajra nature, grant empowerment, Hum), and bestow empowerment, filling the entire body. Purifying all defilements, the remaining water transforms into the crown ornament of Achala. Visualize the mantra surrounding the meditative being at one's heart, from which light radiates, purifying all beings' sins, obscurations, diseases, and evil spirits. Visualize the blessings, compassion, and power of the Guru and Yidam dissolving into oneself. Then, recite as much as possible: Om Caṇḍa Mahāroṣaṇa Hūṃ Phaṭ. Finally, pray: May the Blessed One, may all obstacles of the four maras be completely pacified for me and all beings, and may all supreme and common attainments be bestowed upon me. By this merit, may I quickly attain the state of Achala, the protector, and may all beings without exception be placed on that Buddha-land. At the request of those seeking the Dharma, this was written by the Sakya novice translator, Jamyang Kunga Sonam Drakpa Gyaltsen Palsangpo, at Sakya Monastery. The scribe was Chandrakirti. Chakna Dorje Jungpo Dulje: Vajrapani Subduing the Bhutas. Sengdongma: Lion-faced Dakini. Chenrezig: Avalokiteśvara practice. Taking refuge, generating Bodhicitta, the four immeasurables, and other preliminaries are the same as the usual ritual. Purify all dharmas into emptiness with the Svabhava mantra. From emptiness, from the syllable Pam arises a lotus, from the syllable Ram arises a sun disc. Above the sun disc, from the dark blue syllable Hūṃ, light radiates, illuminating the vajra ground below, surrounded by a vajra fence, covered by a vajra tent, and encircled by the blazing fire of wisdom, forming a protective circle. In the center of the protective circle, above the lotus and sun, is a white, wrathful elephant-headed deity, holding a mallet, with its head facing to the right and lying prostrate. One's own mind transforms into a blue syllable Hūṃ, which completely transforms into a blue five-pronged vajra, marked with the syllable Hūṃ, from which light radiates. Destroying all enemies and malicious obstacles. All the compassion, blessings, and power of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas gather here as blue light, dissolving into the syllable Hūṃ.
