Due to the influence of conceptualization, the wind called Bayata (Tibetan: བཱ་ཡ་ཏ་) is stimulated in the body, and it causes the places where sound arises to move. That is what it means. If conceptualization causes the wind to move, how does it move? Just as without a foundation, like wings flapping in the sky produce wind, when conceptualization moves, the wind called Bayata (Tibetan: བཱ་ཡ་ཏ་) moves violently in the body. That is what is said. For example, when a bird flies in the sky, the movement of its wings produces wind. Similarly, when moving through the intellect that makes others understand, through the conceptualization that connects names and things named, the wind that pervades the entire body, which is the Bayata (Tibetan: བཱ་ཡ་ཏ་) that has the nature of movement, rises and moves. If that wind moves, what happens? It causes all actions to move, and the movement of actions causes it to meet with locations. To illustrate this, the violently moving wind, when it causes all actions to move, in narrow and wide locations, there is contact and slight contact. That is what is said. Among these, narrow refers to the palate and the nasal and cranial cavities. The remainder is wide. The joining of the palate and tongue, the joining of the teeth and tongue, and the joining of the two lips, this is contact here. The remainder is slight contact, which will be explained below. At that time, to illustrate the co-emergent cause, at that time, it arises together with the wind called Niḥśvāsa (Tibetan: ནིཿ་ཤྭཱ་སྭ་). That is what is said. Like this, when locations and actions meet, the wind called Niḥśvāsa (Tibetan: ནིཿ་ཤྭཱ་སྭ,Sanskrit Devanagari: निःश्वास,Sanskrit Romanization: Niḥśvāsa, Literal Chinese Meaning: Exhalation) is the breath, and it arises mixed with the collection of sounds, this is the co-emergent cause. To illustrate the universally pervading cause, just as forms arise from the elements, for sound, it is like a reliance. That is what is said. For example, just as all forms are produced by the four great elements, all collections of letters are pervaded by the sixteen vowel letters and the eighteen consonant letters. Therefore, the sound called ང་རོ་ (Tibetan: ང་རོ་), relying on vowels and consonants, all collections of letters, names, and words arise, this is the universally pervading cause. To illustrate the cause of equal share, conceptualization comes from its own manifesting part, like a mirror image, the share is equal.

vāyata(藏文,梵文天城体:वायात,梵文罗马拟音:vāyata,汉语字面意思:风)与niḥśvāsa(藏文,梵文天城体:निःश्वास,梵文罗马拟音:niḥśvāsa,汉语字面意思:出息)二风中,vāyata(藏文,梵文天城体:वायात,梵文罗马拟音:vāyata,汉语字面意思:风)是能作诸法运转之因。niḥśvāsa(藏文,梵文天城体:निःश्वास,梵文罗马拟音:niḥśvāsa,汉语字面意思:出息)是共同生起之因。

Thus it is said. At that time, the conceptualization of one's own perceived aspect of the object, the name and the named appear to be connected. For example, the object of a pillar, named as 'pillar,' is connected because of the attachment at the time of designation. Later, when a person engages with the meaning, letters that match one's own appearance arise. Just as an image appears on the face of a mirror. This is the cause of equal share. Now, in order to easily understand the causes of verbal activity, intending to show the conclusion, it is said: 'Places and actions, conceptualization and two winds, vowel sounds, clarifying aspects, generate all verbal activities.' Thus it is said. The places where sound arises, such as the throat, are the fundamental cause. Actions such as touching are the cause of emission. Conceptualization is the cause of motivation. From the two winds, vāyata (藏文,梵文天城体:वायात,梵文罗马拟音:vāyata, literal meaning: wind) and niḥśvāsa (藏文,梵文天城体:निःश्वास,梵文罗马拟音:niḥśvāsa,literal meaning: exhalation), vāyata (藏文,梵文天城体:वायात,梵文罗马拟音:vāyata, literal meaning: wind) is the cause that moves the actions. Niḥśvāsa (藏文,梵文天城体:निःश्वास,梵文罗马拟音:niḥśvāsa,literal meaning: exhalation) is the cause of simultaneous arising. The sixteen vowels and eighteen consonants are the cause of pervasive movement. The apprehended aspect of one's own appearance is the cause of equal share. These causes generate the collection of sounds, that is the meaning. Thus, it is shown that they arise from causes, and the causes show the names of the qualities of the causes. Therefore, intending to show their individual nature, it is said: 'Among the seven causes, the places are the fundamental cause,' up to 'the cause of equal share.' Among these, the places are the fundamental cause, the places are like the inside of a bell, the place of the distinctions of sounds is the foundation, therefore it is called the fundamental cause of place. Action is the cause of emission, like the tongue of a bell, motivating and emitting, therefore it is called the cause of emission. Likewise, conceptualization is the cause of motivation, the word 'likewise' is said because it is similar to motivation. Briefly, it is like a person, it is the agent, therefore it is called the cause of motivation. Just as wind is to a tree, the cause of moving actions.
