If one desires to attain Buddhahood, it is said that when all habitual tendencies are exhausted, it is called the Thus-Gone One. Therefore, the wisdom that arises manifestly and gradually reverses habitual tendencies is merely the combination of incompatible factors and antidotes. There is no wisdom that constantly holds onto the antidote. Therefore, when all habitual tendencies are exhausted, there is no cause for the arising of self-aware wisdom. Thus, the principle that no cause leads to no effect is merely a designation applied to what is eliminated by the antidote. Furthermore, if it is said that the cause of the arising of non-conceptual wisdom is the accumulation of immeasurable roots of virtue, the main factor is mindfulness, and the object is the unerring realm of reality, this refers to the state where, until the habitual tendencies of delusion are not exhausted, mindfulness is the cause of the limb of perfect enlightenment, and in the state of meditative equipoise, the appearance of the apprehended and the apprehender ceases. If this is said to be the case even on the level of Buddhahood, it becomes meaningless. Therefore, there is nothing about this that cannot be refuted by reason or antidote. If someone says that because there is some necessity, the Victorious Ones, in order to control the Dharma, even though it can be refuted, have not made it merely an illusion, then what necessity is there in not making it exhausted? For one's own benefit, the uncontaminated Dharma is the Dharma-nature free from elaboration, the great bliss, which transcends the appearance of suffering. It is peaceful because it is without characteristics. It is permanent because conditioned phenomena are completely extinguished. Therefore, this alone is called one's own benefit, not that there is a feeling of happiness, or a state of peace, or a nature of permanence. For the benefit of others, even without relying on this cause, qualities of merit arise unhindered, in accordance with the capacity and inclination of all sentient beings, so this is not without meaning. Furthermore, if someone says that there is nothing about this that cannot be refuted by reason or antidote, and the Victorious Ones did not establish it by controlling the Dharma merely because it was necessary, but that it is established by reason that there is only the nature of conventional illusion, and that it must be admitted that only this exists, then there is no such reason for this. If it is said that this is established by direct perception, then by which wisdom is this directly

If it is established by inference, then what definite reason is there for this? If it is said that non-conceptual wisdom is directly realized by oneself, then, in that case, it will not become non-conceptual wisdom, and it will also be admitted that the object of the Buddha's activity is a person. If it is said that it is directly realized by the pure world, then it is impossible, and you do not accept the pure world. Therefore, it is not established by direct perception. Inference also cannot establish it. If it is said that by observing the qualities, one can infer the possessor of qualities, then, since it has been explained above that qualities can arise without relying on non-conceptual wisdom, inference cannot establish it. If it exists, it will become a fault, which is established. Like this, the so-called non-conceptual wisdom and non-dual wisdom, are they not considered to be born in accordance with the Dharmadhatu? If self-awareness arises only as a momentary characteristic, then will the characteristic of the Dharmadhatu also become compatible with self-awareness and arise momentarily? If it is not like that, then how can it be said that it arises in accordance with such a characteristic? Therefore, arising in accordance is also not established. Furthermore, as mentioned above, if all knowledge is known as self-awareness, is that not due to the power of the habits of elaboration? Because mere awareness itself is also elaboration, therefore, for the pacification of elaboration, even mere awareness cannot be admitted. Saying that it arises in accordance with the Dharmadhatu, it does not arise in the stream of consciousness, but it is said to arise when it becomes like that. In that case, there is nothing that cannot be destroyed, there is no other special need, and there is no reason to establish it temporarily as mere illusion, and there is also a reason to refute it. Therefore, do not say that the Buddhas have non-conceptual wisdom in their minds. This is also said in the sutras, which say: The Tathagata's undefiled virtues are the supreme Dharmakaya, in which there is no suchness, nor is there a Tathagata, but images appear everywhere in the world. Thus, the Tathagata is the Dharmakaya, suchness and the Tathagata
