Self also does not exist, cause and condition also do not exist, support also does not exist, do not say that accumulating merit will be in vain, and will eventually fall into annihilation. There is no fault in this, because the so-called annihilation view refers to existing once, and then thinking that its continuation does not exist, we do not recognize this view. Because from the perspective of the two truths, as far as the ultimate truth is concerned, whether it is accumulating merit, or eliminating obstacles, or attaining Buddhahood, or sentient beings possessing obstacles, nothing can be obtained. Since there is no attainment of self, and there is no existence and transformation, how can the terms of annihilation and permanence be established? As for the appearance of mundane delusion, the body and wisdom distinctions that manifest to benefit sentient beings, and the ocean-like qualities of Dharma, the self exists, its cause also exists, and the condition also exists, but it does not need support. Therefore, there are two kinds of conditions for the arising of the ocean of qualities: The first is from the arising of Bodhicitta by the power of lineage and spiritual friends, until the attainment of perfect enlightenment, accumulating immeasurable roots of virtue, generating great compassion that is never interrupted, and the power of great aspirations that are never interrupted and naturally accomplished, so that qualities corresponding to the trainees appear in their minds. The other is that the power of the complete exhaustion of the connections of habits and the complete purification of the Dharmadhatu will also arise, just as images appear from pure matter and pure fields. These two are the main causes. In the minds of those to be tamed, delusion has not ended, and they possess white habits, which is the cause condition. In this way, the cause of the arising of qualities is the existence of delusional habits, and the cause of the appearance of qualities is white habits. There is no need for support for this. For example, when the wishes of sages and others are fulfilled, whether it is good or bad afterwards, one can make a wish and say: May such a thing appear in this place. When auspicious things and so on appear after the death of the sage, there is no need for a capable sage as a support, nor is there any other support to exert power.

In that direction, power will arise. Sometimes, even without a meritorious support, relying on the continuation of a support blessed with other merits, results will occur at other times. For example, having accomplished the mantra of Namkha Dring (Tibetan: ནམ་མཁའ་ལྡིང་), one blesses a piece of wood with the mantra and places it. Even if a hundred or a thousand years pass after the mantra practitioner's death, if those afflicted by poison are rubbed with that piece of wood, the poison sickness will be cured. Similarly, when the Buddhas engage in the practice of Bodhi, they fully bless it with compassion and aspiration. It will be completely accomplished. Even after attaining complete Buddhahood, when all mundane dharmas have ceased, when the disciples' time has come, the qualities of merit will appear. Even without a meritorious support, such as non-discriminating wisdom, in front of the disciples, the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya forms of the Buddhas, as well as the nature of non-discrimination and the wisdom of the pure world, endowed with compassion, will appear in pure and impure realms. Such is what is called appearing without a meritorious support. Furthermore, appearing by blessing other supports relies on the phenomenon of the Buddhas appearing in the world, blessing their vows and mudras such as Dharma, abiding in the world. Even though the Buddhas show the manner of passing into Nirvana, later that mudra benefits sentient beings, becoming like the Buddhas themselves. As it is said: How sentient beings are tamed, so are various accomplishments shown. The method for that is the mudra. How the mudra can accomplish, so are the practices of Bodhi, etc. All methods, through the order of rituals, the Buddhas do not accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. Therefore, all the great qualities of the Buddhas are established by appearing as cause, condition, and result. Therefore, performing mundane actions is not meaningless, nor is it the same as those who assert annihilation. Furthermore, in this way, it is also not different from the Nirvana of the Shravakas, who are one-sidedly peaceful, because for one's own benefit, all habitual tendencies are completely exhausted, so the Dharma
