Being the nature of activity, she is the mother of the karma family. Therefore, these mothers are also explained as the mudra of self-nature, the nature of dharma, through the purification of the five afflictions and the attainment of the five perfections, through the enjoyment of the five desires, and as the nature of dharani. Furthermore, the various consciousnesses such as the eye, as well as the senses and their objects, are similarly shown from the perspective of the family itself. The eye, form, and its consciousness are explained as the characteristic of bodhicitta, the family of the body. Similarly, the ear and so on are explained as the characteristic of holding the treasure of the precious dharma, the family of the jewel. Some say that from the perspective of the characteristic of listening to the dharma and the sound of the dharma, it is the lotus family. The nose and so on are also explained as the characteristic of holding the fragrance of qualities such as morality, the family of qualities. Because it holds the fragrance of pure dharma, it is also explained as the lotus family. The tongue and so on are explained as the family of karma, which is all actions. Some say that speaking the sacred dharma is the lotus family. Establishing the senses and objects as gods and goddesses is shown from the perspective of enjoyment and action. Consciousness is also the same. Showing the aggregates as the main thing and showing the elements and sources as the retinue is in the manner of limbs and parts. All of these explanations of characteristics that are in accordance with the dharma are because they do not contradict the nature of meaning and because they make it in accordance with meaning. Otherwise, those that are in accordance with the dharma but are not specifically mentioned are also those that can be shown because dharani and eloquence are inexhaustible. Even if they are not shown, they are also in accordance with it because it is its nature. Therefore, there is no fault in not showing them especially. These methods alone are for those who enter the door of secret mantra, to firmly generate the view of the way it is said, and for those who hold the tenets of others, to generally not slander the way of secret mantra, and especially to hold the meanings of what is said as the definitive meaning, and it is written in response to the requests of those who rely on themselves. If someone sees a fault of error, then first

Therefore, abandoning the sectarian views of oneself and others, ascertain and understand with an impartial mind. Carefully examine what will become an error and what will not. If you truly find errors that contradict both scripture and reason, then also write down words that completely refute that view after this. This will be beneficial to future people. If, in general, sectarian works like this are not accused of being errors, then the faults of the branches are tolerable. If you see a great error, you should also write down words that refute it from the root. In short, even though it is not appropriate for people like us to write treatises that need to be examined in this way as formal treatises, considering the request of the disciple, and the thought that it might be helpful to those who follow this direction, and in order to record the extent of knowledge that one has seen in one's own notes, that is why it is done. It is not done with the intention of benefiting all people. Therefore, one should not criticize simply because notes have been written. This method is also one aspect of the tantric view, that is, in the context of 'Great Perfection,' the ultimate truth is regarded as the cause, the conventional truth is regarded as the result, the cause is regarded as the place, and the result is regarded as the mandala of play, and so on, there are six explanations. Here, only one aspect of regarding the result as the mandala of play is explained. These and other teachings that are considered great, and the differences in views that are distinguished by differences in names, are also written in other texts, so the general treatise is not written here. This is the 'Great Self-Arisen Wisdom' composed by Dharmabhadra.
