The light and nectar light, etc., are also mentioned in the twelve stages of the Buddha. From the perspective of characteristics, it should be understood that it is the same as having the activities of the Dharmakaya and the five dharmas of the Buddha. The slight differences are that it is believed that the two truths are inseparable in nature, that conventional truth is the leisure of an illusory heavenly realm, that the nature of mind is self-arisen wisdom, and that all phenomena are inherently enlightened. These are the differences. Then, in the sutras, it is said that the consciousness of ordinary beings possesses an uncontaminated mind, and it is said: In many worlds, even if there are countless words, just as the sky will not be destroyed, so is self-arisen wisdom. It is said, and even this impure world, the realm of the Blessed One Shakyamuni Buddha, is said to be like the realm of the Blessed One Vairochana without effort. Furthermore, it is said: The ever-lasting, unborn dharma is the Tathagata, all dharmas are the same as the Sugata, those with childish minds who cling to signs practice dharmas that do not exist in the world. Like this, and in other sutras it says: Do you practice the view of the two truths? And so on. Therefore, from the sutras, it is also said that the two truths are inseparable, and that self-arisen wisdom is accepted, and that impure realms are also considered to be completely pure realms, and that all dharmas are considered to be enlightened. If so, then are there no differences as stated above? Although it is true that it is said that way, these differences are merely distinctions made from the treatises known as common to the Hearers. What is said in the profound sutras is somewhat in agreement with this, and that is what is intended. Because the differences between vehicles are not completely different in all respects. For example, the vast conduct of Bodhisattvas and the Alaya-vijnana, which are special dharmas of the Great Vehicle, are like only mentioning the seed in the Hearer's Vinaya. Then, if these dharmas are Buddha, why do they not appear to beings? That is because purity does not fully appear to those who have not purified their obscurations, just as pretas

Just as (hungry ghosts) see rivers as pus. Again asked: Is everything that appears in the conventional merely appearance, not real? Are these appearances also considered by the Yogacara school's treatises as manifestations of their respective minds, aren't they? If so, since they are manifestations of their respective minds, seeing water as pus is not real, and seeing completely pure realms and environments as impure realms and environments is also not real. Furthermore, since everything that appears is real, then there is no difference between real and unreal, is there? Answer: It is not so. All different schools of thought are based on common similar appearances, and then argue about what its characteristics are. For example, when hungry ghosts say they see rivers as pus, the fact that a large river with moist and liquid characteristics flows in the same place at the same time is the same. It's just that people see water, while hungry ghosts see pus, and there is no fault in this. Similarly, pure and impure realms are the same in that they appear as body and environment, so there is no fault of different bases. Merely appearing as pus, there is also a difference between real and unreal in these appearances. Whatever becomes the object of unobstructed wisdom, and has the nature of not deceiving when doing great things, those are the delusions of appearance, the appearances of unconfused wisdom. Therefore, the tantric treatises say: All dharmas are merely illusions, and are originally enlightened in the mandala of body, speech, and mind vajra. Saying this also establishes the nature of things, and is not merely declared for the sake of counteracting. For things that have already been established, appearing as deities, etc., is not like ugliness, etc., which are completely imputed, or like freedom, which is arbitrary. Self-arisen wisdom is also merely the self-illumination of the mind, because other-illumination is all delusion. Therefore, it is not truly existent. Because the mind is originally pure, and when non-conceptual wisdom arises, there is nothing else to be removed besides self-illumination, and self-illumination itself is empty of nature, therefore it is self-arisen wisdom.
